Consumption characteristics of the new generation of migrant workers;
Personal consumption expenditure has increased rapidly, and saving money is no longer an "ascetic monk"-this is a remarkable feature different from my parents.
According to a sample survey conducted by the Guangdong Provincial Bureau of Statistics, in the second quarter of last year, the average monthly income of the new generation of migrant workers was 873 yuan, and only 232 yuan was returned to their hometown-nearly 80% of their salary income was spent or kept by themselves. They spend more than 10% of their income on culture, entertainment and telephone charges. While accepting the urban culture and lifestyle, second generation migrant workers is also influenced by some unhealthy trends and inherent bad habits, resulting in the phenomenon of "spoiled migrant workers" and "moonlight clan". Most of the second generation migrant workers just graduated from school and went directly to work in cities. They have neither mental preparation nor the ability and spirit to bear hardships and stand hard work. They pursue a better life excessively, and their diligence and frugality gradually disappear. The survey shows that 68.5% of people's income is mainly used for their own food, clothing, housing and transportation, and their wages are rarely sent home. 70% people have mobile phones or PHS. Some people advocate enjoyment, pay attention to comparison, and irrational consumption concepts make life more difficult for migrant workers with lower incomes.
The frontier challenge facing the citizenization of migrant workers in China is the citizenization of the second generation of migrant workers born after 1980s. With the growth of the first generation of migrant workers' age and their gradual return to their hometowns, the second generation of migrant workers have entered cities and become the main body of migrant workers. The social and family environment in which these people grew up has changed greatly with their elders.
1, they are also very different from the first generation of migrant workers in terms of education level, personality characteristics, main purpose of working, urban identity, lifestyle, work expectation, and economic ties with rural families.
2. Their "city dream" is also more persistent than their parents', and most of them are unwilling to return to their hometowns for farming after working for several years.
Most of them have no experience in farming at all.
