How to write an expository article?
1, find the object.

When reading an article, to accurately grasp the object of explanation, we need to analyze it from two aspects: one is to see what an article explains as a whole, and the other is to see from which part it is explained, that is, the specific object of an article.

2. Grasp the characteristics of the object.

To accurately understand the content of the interpretation text, it is not enough to find the object of interpretation, but also to accurately grasp the characteristics of the object of interpretation. Whether an explanatory article achieves the purpose of explanation depends on whether the characteristics of things are clearly stated.

3, clearly explain the order.

The explanatory text should have a clear and reasonable order, that is to say, a clear order. Generally, there are three kinds of interpretation order, namely, spatial order, chronological order and logical order. When reading an article or paragraph, we should pay attention to these three aspects.

Spatial order is generally from top to bottom, from left to right, from front to back, from far to near, first in the middle and then on both sides. Generally speaking, the time sequence is from ancient times to the present, from the past to the present and so on.

The logical order is from phenomenon to essence, from cause to result, from main to secondary, from feature to use, from whole to part, from general to special, from generalization to concrete, from known to unknown, from outside to inside, and so on.

4. Master the method of explanation.

Common interpretation methods include examples, comparisons, enumerations, classifications, analogies, definitions, explanations, quotations, lists and so on.

5. Understand the structure of the description.

There are four common structural relationships in explanatory texts.

1) Parallelism: The relationship between all levels is equal and parallel.

2) Progressive: The latter explanation is a further explanation based on the previous one. The relationship between all levels goes from shallow to deep, from the outside to the inside, from layer to layer.

3) Total score formula: This structure can be derived from three situations, namely, total score formula, total score formula and total score formula.

4) Contrast: After the central argument is put forward, the central argument is demonstrated from both positive and negative aspects. The purpose of using the contrast formula is to highlight the correctness of one aspect through the comparison of two aspects, and the other is just to play a foil and foil role.
