Zhang Xu, the word, was called after he became an official. He is a master of poetry and calligraphy, and he is famous for cursive writing. He is known as one of the top ten saints in ancient China.

Zhang Xu's cursive script is endless, with ups and downs. The so-called "Zhang Miao Yu Fei" means that his cursive lines are thick and full and extremely wonderful. In Tang Wenzong's place, Zhang Xu's cursive script, Li Bai's poems and Pei Min's sword dance are "three unique skills".

Zhang Xu is free and easy, generous, outstanding, brilliant and knowledgeable. He is a master of cursive script with great personality. Because he is often drunk, clamoring for madness, and then writing a book, even his hair is stained with ink, he has the nickname "Zhang Dian" and is also honored as "Cao Sheng" by later generations. After Huai Su inherited and developed his brushwork, he also got his name from cursive script and called it "drunk".

Zhang Xu's calligraphy began with Zhangzhi and Erwang, with cursive script as the highest achievement. He himself is proud of inheriting the tradition of "two kings" and writes very well. On the other hand, he imitated Zhang Zhi's cursive art and created an unpredictable wild grass, which shocked the world.

Zhang Xu is a pure artist. He pours his emotions into stippling, and no one looks at it, and he is as intoxicated as a madman. Zhang Xu, the sage of the Tang Dynasty, inherited the "two kings" and integrated them, "taking stippling as the shape and turning it into emotion", and wrote the vigorous and indulgent state of "the voice of the prosperous Tang Dynasty".

Four Ancient Poems is Zhang Xu's wild grass work, which is precious. "Four Ancient Poems" is a five-color cursive script with 40 lines and 188 characters. Its content, the first two songs are Bu Xu Ci by Yu Xin, and the last two songs are Jin Zan of the Prince and Jin Zan of the Fourth Five-Year Youth by Xie Lingyun in the Southern Dynasties.

Zhang Xu's cursive script is unique. Its calligraphy comes from regular script, absorbs the essence of Ou, Yu and Chu's calligraphy, and adopts the techniques of calligraphers in the early Tang Dynasty. Therefore, his cursive writing is indulgent, but not beyond the law, and his font is superb, which is admired by the world. Zhang Xu's cursive script can take into account the beauty of many families, and based on regular script, it has made unprecedented achievements in calligraphy.

Zhang Xu's calligraphy
