Personally, I think the stories in the book have universal teaching significance in today's society, because the book discusses not only bullying, but also many aspects of human nature from the practical problems of bullying through psychology. So from this perspective, this book can also be regarded as a book to torture and save human nature.
For me, in the process of reading this book, my mood is as stated at the beginning. Why? Because I personally experienced the school bullying incident mentioned in the book, I can feel the psychological state of the protagonist in the book, and I will remind myself of the years when I was bullied from time to time because of the stories told in the book.
I thought I had forgotten it for a long time, but I never thought it had been engraved in my heart, and even changed from my internal psychological mode to some instinctive behavior. At that time, the only way I could cure myself was to wait quietly for my future high school life, because then I could get rid of all the darkness at present.
What I didn't expect was that even though I was far away from that environment, the psychological model and behavior model shaped by bullying at that time still instinctively supported myself in many ways when interacting with people, which shows its deep influence.
However, compared with the bullying stories of 16 protagonists in the book, the bullying stories I personally experienced are a bit insignificant. At the same time, in order to leave more ink for this book review story, I won't write them in this book review, and I will write an article to analyze myself separately in the future.
Due to the limited space of book reviews, individuals have to choose three stories from the book according to their personal preferences and make a brief overview. The rest of the stories and their contents have yet to be read by readers themselves. However, it is worth reminding readers that reading other people's stories is not to remember the content of the stories, but to deeply reflect and torture themselves after reading them. So, this is not for nothing.
Before summing up the first story, it is necessary to understand the concept and classification of bullying. In definition, the so-called bullying refers to a community led by a few people that besieges, humiliates, isolates and slanders individuals and causes lasting harm to each other's body and mind.
In terms of classification, there are generally four classifications at present. The first is traditional bullying, that is, bullying the weak with the strong, bullying the small with the big, and controlling the small with the small; The second type, gossip bullying, is basically no hands-on, mainly talking, that is, a series of language attacks such as malicious ridicule, slander, laughing in public, or inciting the public to insult each other's dignity;
The third category, cyber bullying, is to implement cyber language violence or intimidation through a series of high-tech tools such as mobile phones; The fourth category, mass electronic bullying, refers to those people who eat melons who don't know the truth online. They often have nothing to do with the victims, but they like to spread comments on the internet that cause personal attacks or humiliation to the victims.
After defining the concept and classification of bullying, let's look at the first story. The first story is the author's own experience. When she was in primary school, she met a female deskmate. The female deskmate seemed to see the author being bullied, so she took up two-thirds of the table and left one-third for the author. Not only that, she also placed sharp tools such as compasses in two-thirds of the table. As long as the author accidentally touches a sharp weapon and is stabbed and bleeds, the female deskmate is very happy.
Why did she do it? The reason is simple and fun. The way she gets along with the author is like a child playing with a bug. When she feels that she has absolute dominance and control over the other party, she will show her cruelty in a so-called fun way.
Later, a female classmate in the author's class somehow offended the author's female deskmate. As a result, the author's female deskmate called on some people in the class not to talk to her, but the author secretly talked to her for no reason. The result was discovered by the female deskmate, and she began to call on everyone to isolate the author.
As a result, some students in the author's class, as well as the isolated girls in the previous group, chose not to talk to the author one after another, just as Li obeyed her master's orders. This incident triggered a series of chain reactions, and almost no one in the class talked to the author. When the teacher asked about the author, they scolded him with one voice for having many shortcomings and problems, so the author was completely isolated.
Until the author was in high school, I accidentally learned from my classmates that my female deskmate was pregnant before she graduated from primary school, and she was still having sex with an old man and some children everywhere. I don't know why she had this experience, and I don't know what happened in her family, but a child of about ten years old can do this series of things. Can it not make people think deeply?
We often think that children are innocent, but in fact, human nature is free and not necessarily true, which means that there is the possibility of evil. Moreover, regardless of teaching children, there is no constraint on evil and no bottom line. Only by constantly upgrading, I am afraid that there will be something that only you can't think of, and there is nothing that he can't do.
The second story, the hero of the story is both a bully and a victim. At school, she set her eyes on her classmate, Xiao Fang. She knows about Xiao Fang's family. Her father worked outside for many years and only came back once a year. Her mother is notoriously weak. Anyone in the village can bully her. Xiao Fang is as weak as her mother. So the protagonist often bullies her in various forms.
Sometimes in public, in front of classmates, she was scolded worse than her own dog, and even asked her to kneel down and call her husband or father. If Xiao Fang didn't kneel down, the protagonist still carried her with his feet; Sometimes, the protagonist is in a bad mood, just find a reason, pull her pants, pinch her ass hard, and her face is black and blue; On another occasion, Xiao Fang did not listen to the fate of the protagonist. The protagonist cruelly kicked his sister into the river. Of course not. Xiao Fang saved her sister.
Behavior like the above is something a child can do, but what's more interesting is that in the following article, the protagonist confessed his life experience. She was born ten months ago, and her mother gave her to her second aunt. She didn't want her at first, but because she had no children and no other children to choose from, she had to.
When the hero was three years old, her second aunt was pregnant and it was a boy. Unfortunately, her second aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer again. As a result, after some treatment, the child was gone. As soon as the children left, they thought it was bad luck brought by the protagonist. When their child was killed, they said this to the protagonist every day.
Later, the author's second uncle lost his job, and he began to drink, not only drinking, but also often domestic violence. As for the object of domestic violence, it is the protagonist and her second aunt. On one occasion, the alcoholic uncle actually tore up the doll that the hero especially loved. In the hero's view, his uncle hates dolls, but in fact he hates the hero.
In junior high school, the protagonist didn't keep up with his studies and failed his grades. There have also been incidents such as puppy love and fighting. The head teacher also felt hopeless, so that he was labeled as smelly shit in front of the whole class. At home, my second uncle often abused her after drinking and took her out as a punching bag.
It was not until 16 years old that the protagonist met his mother and didn't know why he was abandoned by her. It turns out that the protagonist, her own father, is also an alcoholic and often insults her mother in various ways. The protagonist's grandparents found out that her mother gave birth to a girl, not only took away the rations, but also didn't care about the life and death of the protagonist and the biological mother, and insisted on throwing the protagonist into the pond. It was her biological mother who said she would give it away after weaning and saved her life.
Meeting with her mother seems to have adjusted her inner psychological state. She seems to have become better and achieved good results, but she still hasn't got rid of that psychological trauma. When the protagonist discovers that Mr. Chen in school is a person with strong maternal love, he fantasizes that the other person can become his own mother, so he constantly tries to win the attention of the teacher in various ways.
Once the teacher was ill, the protagonist even stole the money from the foster mother to buy fruit for Teacher Chen and secretly went to the hospital to visit Teacher Chen, but Teacher Chen refused to accept it and called the foster mother. Her uncle came with her foster mother. When the hero saw this scene, he was in an emotional riot, but so was her uncle. Scold her, or a dog brought from home, and push it against the wall and fan it hard.
Later, the protagonist bought some medicine to commit suicide, but she was saved. She also explained her life experience to Teacher Chen. Teacher Chen and her classmates hope that she will study hard and be admitted to the university. She was also admitted to the university, and received psychotherapy for a period of time, studying psychology by herself.
In fact, when the protagonist becomes a garbage emotional container for adoptive parents and has no other channels to vent his emotions, he will vent these emotions on weaker children, and the obedience of weaker children will only arouse the hatred of the protagonist. What the hero hates is actually the inner self that can't resist the reality.
The third story involves the teacher. When the hero was five years old, he met a teacher named Kuloko Shen. The teacher is very good at dealing with students. How bad is it? Listen to me in detail. The protagonist was unexpectedly late. What do you think the teacher did to her?
First shut her in the corner of the door for a while, then take her out and let her watch it in the corner of the podium. According to the hero's memory, she hit her foot and it hurt, but the teacher didn't care so much, just scolded her in front of the whole class, except for being late. The key is to sneer at her face.
Later, I mobilized the whole class to cooperate with me to humiliate the hero, saying that I wanted to be a hero and was not worthy to be a pupil. After that, I didn't stop. I asked a student to get two bricks. The student obeyed the order at once and took two bricks. Teacher Shen put two bricks into the hero's schoolbag for her to carry, and then locked her in the corner until school was over, and other students wouldn't let the hero go. When they saw the hero, they saw him.
Once after school, the protagonist was playing skipping rope with several children and was found by this teacher Shen. This teacher Shen actually confiscated it directly. What is the reason? There is no reason, just bullying you and not daring to resist. The protagonist really can't resist. A five-year-old child is extremely helpless in this situation. Without the support of an external force to help him gain consciousness and get out of the predicament, she would fall into the so-called learned helplessness's predicament.
In addition to the above, this teacher Shen has many tricks to deal with students. For example, a classmate who dozed off in class was found by this teacher Shen and asked the teacher to hold his hand straight and hold it up all the time. If he lets go, he will be whipped by this teacher Shen with a pointer, and I don't know how long it will take.
In the hero's view, it's like setting some goals for a person that can never be achieved, and then waiting for him to make mistakes. As long as he makes a mistake, he can be punished in a rational way. In the end, he will break your personal will under the control of the other party and unconditionally obey the teacher's orders.
The teacher sometimes likes to stick a big needle in the post and tell the students that whoever tells a short story in class will sew up his mouth with this needle. For those five-year-old children, this is a real fear event, and they will really care, because a child can only tell the truth when he is around 12 years old, so joking with children is often absolutely serious.
Sometimes, when punishing a child, the teacher will put his whole body in the table and take his stool away. When he finally couldn't help it, he even dropped the table on the ground. As for kicking or beating, this teacher Shen can't care so much. Later, the protagonist realized that Miss Shen's mother had been cheated in various forms in those ten years, and she also grew up in that environment. So, maybe her psychological state has become what it is today.
But in any case, if a person has absolute control over a group of people, but this power is not restricted or supervised, no matter who it is, it is very likely to become a newspaper.
These are three stories of personal choice. What we can see is that bullying occurs not only among students, but also between teachers and students, parents and children, especially parents bullying their children, which may directly lead to school bullying's behavior or being bullied by children. Moreover, the methods often used by sponsors not only cause great obstacles to a person's healthy physical and mental growth, but also may cause irreparable psychological trauma for life.
At the same time, we need to see a group of indifferent bystanders, whether they choose to protect themselves wisely or participate indirectly, they also exert some kind of group treasure on those bullied children. Maybe they were young and inexperienced at that time, but whether they can still reflect on these things in the process of growing up is particularly critical.
