Architecture has no special requirements for mathematics.

Postgraduate entrance examination is also the only engineering major that does not test mathematics.

Architecture needs fine arts, because architecture is a discipline that studies architecture and its environment, aiming at summing up the experience of human architectural activities, thus guiding architectural design and creation, constructing a certain material environment and so on. The content of architecture usually includes technology and art (for reference only). Students majoring in architecture mainly study basic theories and knowledge such as architectural design, urban planning principles, architectural engineering technology, environmental and spatial expression, painting art and so on. They have received training in architectural design and have the basic ability of project planning, architectural design scheme and architectural construction drawing.

Architecture is to cultivate:

1, solid foundation in natural science, good foundation in humanities and social sciences, and strong comprehensive foreign language ability;

2. Master the basic principles and methods of architectural design, have the ability to independently carry out architectural design and express design intentions in various ways, and have the initial computer text, graphics and data processing ability;

3. Understand the historical development law of Chinese and foreign architecture, master the relationship between human physiology, psychology, behavior and the built environment, basic knowledge related to architecture such as economic knowledge, social and cultural customs, laws and regulations, and related knowledge of marginal disciplines and interdisciplinary disciplines of architecture;

4. Master the relationship between building structure and building equipment system and building safety, economy, applicability and aesthetics, the principles and methods of building structure, the performance of common building materials and new materials and other basic knowledge. Have reasonable choice and comprehensive application ability, and have certain organization and coordination ability among multiple types of work;

5. Have the ability of pre-project planning, architectural design scheme and construction drawing, and have architectural aesthetic literacy.
