Which is better, Central South University of Forestry and Technology or Hunan Institute of Science and Technology?
It can be concluded from the following data that the civil engineering major of Central South University of Forestry and Technology is far better than that of Hunan Institute of Technology.

1. Applying for a university depends on both the school, the major and the location. Among them, major is the most important.

2. Although Central South Forestry University mainly focuses on forestry, the civil engineering major of Hunan Institute of Technology is later than that of Central South University of Forestry and Technology, and its discipline construction (master's degree and doctor's degree) is backward, thus affecting the future development after graduation (affecting further studies). Hunan Institute of Technology and Central South University of Forestry and Technology are obvious in the same province, which makes the disadvantage of Hunan Institute of Technology more prominent.

I. Overview of the two schools

Central South University of Forestry and Technology has three national key disciplines, 12 doctoral programs and 40 master programs. Hunan Institute of Technology is blank in this respect. Although Central South University of Forestry and Technology focuses on forestry, Hunan Institute of Science and Technology lags far behind Central South University of Forestry and Technology in civil engineering.

Two, two schools of civil engineering.

1, Hunan Institute of Science and Technology-Department of Architectural Engineering:

The Department of Architectural Engineering was founded in 1997, and now it has three undergraduate majors of civil engineering, project management and architecture, and seven majors of architectural engineering technology, project cost, project supervision, architectural decoration engineering technology, interior design technology, environmental art design and animation design. Among them, building construction technology is the key specialty at the school level, and the specialty of engineering cost and engineering supervision is the characteristic specialty in the province (it started earlier).

There are 37 full-time teachers in the Department of Architectural Engineering, including 4 professors, 8 associate professors, 2 doctors and masters 14 doctors and masters 18 double-qualified teachers, 2 national registered structural engineers, 4 national registered supervision engineers and 4 national registered construction engineers. At present, there are nearly 2600 full-time students in school.

2. Central South University of Forestry and Technology-School of Civil Architecture and Mechanics

The civil engineering major of our college began to enroll students in September. 1988. After nearly 20 years of hard work, it has gradually developed into a large-scale and comprehensive college in our school-School of Civil Architecture and Mechanics.

The college has a master's degree in structural engineering and four undergraduate majors (civil engineering, urban planning, engineering management and engineering mechanics), among which the civil engineering major has four professional directions: architectural engineering, intelligent building, road and traffic engineering and bridge and tunnel engineering.

There are 6 doctoral supervisors, including professors 10 and 23 associate professors. There are 12 teachers with doctor's degrees and 57 teachers with master's degrees, forming a reasonable structure and high academic level of teachers, which can meet the teaching needs.

In the past five years, the college has undertaken 80 scientific research projects, including national scientific research projects 1 1, 58 provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, and school youth fund projects 1 1. Among them, 37 scientific research awards, 5 invention patents, 9 monographs and textbooks 19, and 459 papers were published.

At present, the college has six teaching and research sections (architectural engineering, road and traffic engineering, bridge and tunnel engineering, mechanics, urban planning and project management), two research institutes and 1 research laboratories (rheology and materials engineering college, bridge engineering college, intelligent building research laboratory), four professional laboratories and 1 testing center (structural laboratory, mechanical experiment center, urban planning model making) The college is equipped with a professional library with nearly 10,000 books and more than 50 kinds of Chinese and foreign professional journals, which are open to all teachers and students.

At present, there are more than 600 full-time doctoral students, master students and undergraduates/kloc-0, and the one-time employment rate of graduates is over 96%.

Several professional training objectives of the college:
