According to the spirit of the Interim Provisions of the Ministry of Personnel on the Examination of Translation Professional Qualification (Level) (No.2/KLOC-0 [2003] of the Ministry of Personnel), under the guidance of the Ministry of Personnel, the examination of translation professional qualification (Level) is organized, implemented and managed by the Foreign Languages Publishing and Distribution Administration (hereinafter referred to as "China Foreign Languages Bureau"). According to the Interim Provisions on the Examination of Translation Professional Qualification (Level), China Foreign Languages Bureau has established an expert committee on the examination of translation professional qualification (level). The Committee is responsible for drafting the language, subjects, outline and proposition of the examination, and studying and establishing the examination question bank. China Foreign Languages Bureau Translation Professional Qualification Evaluation Center is responsible for the specific implementation of the examination.

"After passing the translation professional qualification (level) examination, the" People's Republic of China (PRC) Translation Professional Qualification (level) Certificate "uniformly printed and printed by the Ministry of Personnel will be issued. This certificate is valid all over the country and is one of the necessary conditions for the appointment of translation professional and technical positions. According to the relevant regulations of the Ministry of Personnel, the translation professional qualification (level) examination has been formally incorporated into the national professional qualification certificate system. After the examination is launched nationwide, the corresponding language and level of translation professional and technical post evaluation will no longer be carried out.

Apply for qualification

Anyone who abides by the Constitution and laws of People's Republic of China (PRC), abides by professional ethics, and has a certain level of foreign language, regardless of age, education or academic background, can sign up for the corresponding language and level examination. Foreigners and professionals from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan who are allowed to work in People's Republic of China (PRC) and meet the requirements of the Interim Provisions on Translation Professional Qualification (Level) Examination with the consent of the relevant state departments may also sign up for the translation professional qualification (level) examination and apply for registration. There are no restrictions on the conditions for applying for the translation professional qualification (level) examination, and candidates are not required to affix their official seals or attach other conditions at the time of registration.
