Cultivated land is a scarce resource, which plays a very important role in the national economy and is the foundation of the national economy. Based on the analysis of the intensive use of cultivated land in Zhanjiang city, this paper evaluates the potential of intensive use of cultivated land, so as to obtain the best potential of intensive use of cultivated land. In the process of analysis and evaluation, this paper uses the idea of analytic hierarchy process and establishes a scientific evaluation index system. The weight of each index is determined by entropy method and coefficient of variation method. This paper puts forward the evaluation index of "reasonable value", combines the reasonable value with the weight, obtains each division of intensive use of cultivated land, finds out the influencing factors of exerting the best potential of intensive use of cultivated land, and finally puts forward some suggestions for improvement.
