Literature review is an academic paper written after collecting a large amount of information on a certain topic and comprehensive analysis. It is a scientific document.
"Literature Review" paper net asked students to systematically consult relevant domestic and foreign literature, fully understand the significance of the topic, preliminary work and achievements, problems to be further solved, experimental methods and detection methods that can be used for reference, and lay the foundation for completing the thesis.
Literature review is similar to "reading report", "literature review" and "research progress", all of which are summarized from a special research paper or report. However, unlike "reading report" and "literature review", literature review is only an objective summary of the first-class literature, unlike "research progress", which only focuses on the scientific process. Its characteristic is "review":
"Synthesis" refers to the comprehensive analysis and summary of documents and materials to make them more concise, clear and logical;
"Narration" refers to a more professional, comprehensive, in-depth and systematic discussion of the comprehensively sorted literature.
Writing a literature review generally goes through the following stages:
Select a title.
Collect and read literature.
Draw up an outline (including induction, arrangement and analysis)
Existing works
1, topic selection and reading literature collection
The title of literature review is generally clear to the author.
After selecting the topic, we should collect the related documents around the topic. The more complete the document collection, the better, so the most commonly used method is retrieval. Attention should be paid to the representativeness, reliability and scientificity of the cited documents. In a sense, the quality of reading and selecting documents directly affects the level of literature review.
2. Format and Writing
The format of literature review is different from that of general research papers. This is because research papers focus on research methods and results, while literature review requires readers to introduce detailed information, trends, progress, prospects and comments on the above aspects. Therefore, the format of literature review is relatively diverse, but generally speaking, it includes the following four parts: preface, theme, summary and references.
When writing a literature review, you can write an outline according to these four parts, and then write according to the outline.
(1) Preface:
This paper mainly explains the purpose of writing, introduces related concepts, definitions and scope of review, and briefly explains the current situation or controversial focus of related topics, so that readers can have a preliminary outline of the problems to be described in the full text.
(2) Theme part:
It is the main body of comments, with various writing methods and no fixed format. It can be summarized in chronological order and compared from different angles according to different problems. No matter which format is adopted, the collected documents should be summarized, sorted, analyzed and compared, and the historical background, present situation and development direction of related topics and comments on these issues should be made clear. In the theme part, we should pay special attention to representative, scientific and creative references and comments.
(3) Summary:
Similar to the summary of research papers, it is best to briefly summarize the theme of the full text, and the authors who have studied the summarized topics put forward their own opinions.
(4) References:
Although references are placed at the end of the article, they are an important part of literature review. Because it not only shows the respect for the author of the cited literature and the basis of the cited literature, but also provides clues for readers to discuss related issues in depth. So take it seriously. The writing format of references should strictly abide by the national standards.
3, the basic requirements of the literature review report:
(1) The contents of the literature review report must be able to comprehensively reflect the general situation of the subject at home and abroad, various ways and methods to solve this problem, analyze the characteristics and existing problems of various methods, and initially put forward their own thinking plans;
(2) the document review report should be at least 6000 words;
(3) In the literature review report, more than 15 articles were cited, including more than 1 article in foreign languages, and at least 5 articles were published in recent 3 years.
