How to mark the repeatedly cited documents in the paper
It is very important to mark the cited documents in the paper search to ensure that the cited contents are not misjudged as plagiarism. The following are several common marking methods:

Direct insertion method: when quoting documents in the text of a paper, you can directly insert the document information at the citation place. For example, "According to Smith's research (20 10), ……", in which "Smith's research (20 10)" is directly inserted into the literature information.

Parentheses: When quoting documents in the text of the paper, you can also enclose the document information in parentheses. For example, "... (Smith, 20 10) indicates ...", where "(Smith, 20 10)" is the document information using brackets.

Supernotation: Supernotation can also be used when citing documents in the text of a paper. For example, "According to Smith's research [1], ……", where "[1]" is the document information in superscript, and then the corresponding document information is listed in the reference section at the end of the paper.

Footnote method: when citing documents in the text of the paper, you can also use footnotes to mark them. For example, "According to Smith's research [1], ...", and then add a footnote at the bottom of the current page or the last part of the article to explain the literature information corresponding to [1].

To mark a referenced document in Word, you can follow these steps:

Click Insert at the end of the quoted text, select footnotes and endnotes, and then select endnotes.

In the pop-up dialog box, select the number format as Arabic numerals and the position as the end of the document.

After confirmation, Word will insert the reference number at the cursor and automatically jump to the corresponding number at the end of the document. You can type a description of the reference here.

If you need to refer to the same document many times, you can make endnotes when you refer to the document for the first time, insert cross-references when you refer to the document again, select endnotes and corresponding documents, and then insert.

Please note that due to the different format requirements and duplicate checking system of the paper, the specific marking methods may be different. When writing a paper, you should follow the citation standard of your school or periodical, carefully read the description of the duplicate checking system, and ensure that the cited documents are correctly marked.
