Honors won by the School of Safety Engineering of China University of Mining and Technology
Aiming at the major key scientific and technological problems that need to be solved in the prevention and control of major natural disasters such as coal mine gas and coal dust explosion, coal and gas outburst and mine fire, the college has formed four distinctive research directions: mine gas prevention, mine fire prevention, mine safety monitoring and mine ventilation and dust prevention. During the Tenth Five-Year Plan period, in-depth research was carried out in the fields of gas area control, gas extraction and utilization, coal spontaneous combustion disaster mechanism and prevention technology, coal and gas outburst prediction, ventilation and dust prevention in high gas mines. The College has undertaken and completed five projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation 14 project, four sub-projects of the National Key Basic Research and Development Plan (973), the National Key Science and Technology Project 13 and the key projects of the Ministry of Education. From 200/kloc-0 to 2005, the college received 53.6 million yuan of research funding, including vertical research funding13.79 million yuan; Won 4 second prizes of national scientific and technological progress and 30 provincial and ministerial scientific research achievement prizes; Won the national teaching achievement award 1 item and 3 provincial and ministerial teaching achievement awards; 1 national book awards and 6 provincial and ministerial book awards; Published 24 monographs and teaching materials, published more than 600 papers, including 73 articles included in SCI, EI and ISTP; Obtained 1 1 national invention patents and 9 utility model patents. In 2007, the funding for scientific research reached 35 1 0.3 million yuan, including 5.93 million yuan for vertical research, 2 second prizes for national scientific and technological progress, and1person won 100 national excellent doctoral dissertations. The overall level of scientific research in the college has reached the international advanced level, and some research results in the fields of gas regional control, coal spontaneous combustion prevention and control, coal and gas outburst prediction have reached the international leading level.
