In view of the problems existing in the current table tennis teaching process, this paper puts forward some teaching opinions and measures to improve the teaching effect by using sports scientific research methods, which provides an objective theoretical basis for further improving the teaching quality, cultivating students' interest and implementing the "people-oriented" teaching concept.

With the increasing popularity of table tennis in China, table tennis teaching has quickly entered the university campus, becoming a powerful tool for students to exercise and an indispensable part of physical education in colleges and universities. It is necessary to combine teaching and training organically, so that students can connect organically inside and outside class, cultivate students' interests and hobbies, improve students' technical level, improve teaching methods, improve teaching links and improve teaching environment.
