Xuanzang was enlightened by the Tathagata Buddha after he came back from this Buddhist paradise. Buddha is a kind-hearted man. Buddha cuts meat and feeds it to eagles. Buddhism believes in Buddhism. In order to melt a carnivorous goshawk, the Buddha can choose to feed it with his own meat, hoping to let it find a trace of kindness in its animality.
So Xuanzang doesn't eat meat for this reason. How can a goshawk eat Buddha meat again? This is tantamount to eating the flesh of the Buddha, which is outrageous!
In addition, they always say that all things are equal, and how to eat the same meat as themselves is contrary to their original intention.
There is also compassion. All beings are equal, and there is no difference. They are all life. Monks are merciful and have compassion for all beings, so they can't bear to hurt their lives.
People who eat meat are like killers. Carnivores and killers * * * karma, among all the bad karma, the killer karma is the biggest, and among all the merits, the sin-releasing karma is the biggest.
Be filial. In Buddhism, we believe in the reincarnation of life and death, and the meat we eat is all sentient beings who have a deep fate with us. Maybe it's a relative of our last life. Eating this meat is no different from eating the meat of our relatives.
Therefore, Xuanzang stopped eating meat after he got through it, which is a respect for the Tathagata!
