Papers published by Hsien Wu.
Hsien Wu published 163 papers in his life, including 27 articles on blood and body fluid analysis, 43 articles on gas, electrolyte balance, equipment and protein degeneration, 74 articles on nutrition, immunity and amino acid metabolism, and other articles 19. Two books, Introduction to Nutrition (first edition 1929, updated from 1935 to the fifth edition) and Principles of Physical Biochemistry (English version 1934), were also published. According to the "blood system analysis method" proposed by him in 19 19, protein-free blood can be prepared, so as to determine important components in blood, such as amino acids, creatine, creatinine, urea, non-protein nitrogen, blood sugar, lactic acid and so on. 1929 At the 13 International Physiology Society held in Boston, he put forward protein's denaturation theory: natural protein molecules are not long straight chains but compact structures. This structure is formed by connecting different parts of the peptide chain through bonds other than peptide bonds, so it is easy to be destroyed by physical and chemical forces, that is, from regular folded arrangement to irregular loose form. This theory is of great value for studying the higher structure of protein macromolecules. 1927 began to study the nutritional problems of people in China, focusing on the advantages and disadvantages of vegetarian food and meat, and in 1938, the standard of Minimum Nutritional Requirements of People in China was formulated. There are many original opinions and discussions in clinical chemistry, protein chemistry, immunochemistry, nutrition and other fields. His blood system analysis has been playing an important role in clinical diagnosis.
