Alloy tool steel: Cr 12MoV

Standard: GB/T 1299- 1985

● Features and scope of application:

The hardenability, hardness, wear resistance and strength of cold-working die steel are higher than Cr 12. It is used to manufacture all kinds of cold stamping tools with large cross section, complex shape and harsh working conditions, such as punching die, trimming die, trimming die, steel plate deep stamping die, circular saw, standard measuring tool, wire rolling die and so on.

● Chemical composition:

Carbon? C : 1.45~ 1.70

Silicon? Si:≤0.40

Manganese? Mn:≤0.40

Sulfur? S :≤0.030

Phosphorus? P :≤0.030

Chromium? Cr: 1 1.00 ~ 12.50

Nickel? Nickel: allowable residual content ≤0.25.

Copper? Copper: allowable residual content ≤0.30.

Vanadium: 0. 15~0.30

Molybdenum Mo: 0.40-0.60

● Mechanical properties:

Hardness? : annealing, 255 ~ 207 HB, indentation diameter 3.8 ~ 4.2mm；; Quenching, ≥58HRC

● Heat treatment specification and metallographic structure:

Heat treatment specification: 1) quenching, 950 ~ 1000℃ oil cooling; 2) 1020℃ quenching and tempering at 200℃ for 2h.

Metallographic structure: fine grain vermilion+carbide.
