Representative works:
(1) It was first discovered in 2002 that the 990 123 anti-seismic region was magnetized (Fan et al. 2002), which provided strong evidence for the magnetized external fluid model of gamma-ray bursts.
(2) In 2005, the late internal shock model was independently proposed to explain the X-ray shining phenomenon in afterglow (Fan&; Wei 2005).
(3) In mid-2006, the representative images of X-ray afterglow discovered by Swift satellite were summarized, and the theoretical explanation framework was given (Zhang, Fan&; Dyks et al., 2006).
(4) The inconsistency between X-ray afterglow and optical afterglow first pointed out in 2006 cannot be explained by the mainstream energy injection model or even any known simple model (Fan&; Piran 2006, MNRAS, 369, 197). This problem has been generally recognized and/or still needs to be solved.
(5) It is pointed out for the first time that the forward shock synchrotron radiation may replace inverse compton scattering as the main photon source of Fermi satellite LAT detector (Zou, Fan&; Piran 2009). This prediction is supported by Fermi-Ratt observation at present.
