According to the standard of "modeling competition", the modeling paper should at least include the following modules: 1, topic 2, abstract 3, keywords 4, problem restatement 5, model hypothesis 6, symbol explanation 7, model establishment and solution 8, model verification 9, model evaluation 10, and references 1 1.
1~3: in the typesetting of the paper, it should be on the first page, that is, the cover of the paper, which will become the first impression and model of the judges on your whole paper. Abstract is the refinement of the full text, and the title is the business card of the abstract.
Plagiarism may be counted as repetition, which is a very fatal thing. First of all, under normal circumstances, the number of words in a topic will not be too small, and according to the national competition rules, if the full-text database or self-built database exceeds 25%, it is not allowed to recommend it to the national competition in principle, because plagiarism will lead to a 5% increase in duplicate checking rate.
7. Model establishment and solution, this module is not as rigid as 1~6, it must exist and its position order is fixed. It can be divided into "modeling" and "model solving" according to your own needs. And the title doesn't have to be so rigid. If more than one model is established, it can also be written as "Establishment and solution of a certain model", and several such titles are arranged at the same level.
8. Model verification. This module is not necessary. If there is, it is absolutely icing on the cake, which directly proves the correctness of your model. But if time is limited or for other reasons, you can skip not compiling.
9. Model evaluation should generally be divided into three parts, namely, model advantages, model disadvantages and model improvement. When writing the shortcomings of the model, we should pay attention to avoiding the heavy and not being too "real"; However, the improvement of the model needs attention. At this time, you can play your own unconstrained thoughts, thinking that this is not a place to examine logic and strength, but a place to show your knowledge, innovation and divergent thinking.
10: references must be noted, and references of modeling papers must be noted in the paper. You can't just pile up a bunch of files at the end of the text, you need to mark the corresponding serial number in the position quoted or referenced in the text.
Suggestions on the writing order of papers in mathematical modeling competition;
The writing of the thesis emphasizes strategy, so it is better not to write alone, but to divide the work. For example, when describing the model theory, it is best for the model proponent to write it himself. He is the person who knows the model best, and the solution of the model is best handled by the programmer, who can explain the algorithm and results truly and credibly.
The title, abstract and key words of the paper are generally suggested at the end. For example, the abstract needs to condense the essence of the text of the paper, and the model and solution of the text are summarized on a short A4 page. It is obviously unwise to write an abstract before the paper is finished, and it should be written after the text is completely finalized.
The writing of the text naturally follows the module and modeling process step by step. It should be noted here that model assumptions, symbol descriptions and references should also be left in the text in advance, and then the content should be edited. Therefore, in the process of modeling, we should have a good habit of recording literature references, symbol settings and assumptions at any time, and looking for special paper or document records to facilitate the final unified editing.
