What is involution?
Involution refers to the phenomenon that people's competition intensifies under the condition of limited world resources.
The resources in the world are limited, and everyone wants to get limited resources, so everyone competes with each other. In the constant competition, people lose themselves and their desires intensify.
When did involution come into being?
Personal opinion: In fact, involution has existed since ancient times.
Discussion reason:
At the beginning of human birth, people were constantly anxious, worried about food and clothing, and longed for a greenhouse to survive, so they competed with each other, occupied land and launched wars. As a result, slavery appeared in human civilization, and human beings faced class differentiation. In order to seize more resources, people began to strengthen themselves and invade others to seize resources. It is true that the survival of the fittest, the strong survive, and the weak learn to compete with each other under the encroachment of others.
Therefore, involution is gradually accepted by human beings, and people involution is to have more resources.
Natural selection of animal laws, survival of the fittest, is constantly recognized by people, and everyone is forced to work hard, constantly anxious and caught in the whirlpool of involution.
This is the best time and the worst time. Scientific and technological progress, social development and a convenient and well-off life have not improved our sense of happiness. The harder you work, the more anxious you are, and the more you have to work hard. You roll me, I roll you, and finally we roll chicken feathers all over the floor.
We have been instilled with the idea of competition since childhood, including human competitiveness, and we all firmly believe that we can become human beings, so involution exists with everyone's growth.
Now these phenomena are always common in society:
Parents sign up their children for extracurricular tutoring classes in primary schools, and even some Olympic math classes, calligraphy classes, painting classes and art classes ..... say "win at the starting line", so more and more parents are afraid that their children are not as good as others, so they follow suit;
Junior high school students are facing the senior high school entrance examination, and being admitted to key high schools seems to be a stepping stone to enter key universities. Therefore, students face heavy curriculum pressure from all directions, and it is not uncommon to go to cram schools on holidays.
High school students are even more entangled. At first, students studied for eight hours every day, but those who studied for ten hours were admitted to Tsinghua Peking University. Everyone wanted to go to a prestigious school in Shangqing North, so they all began to study for ten hours, and finally stayed up late to study 12 hours, and were admitted to Tsinghua Peking University. Students write papers, and teachers prefer students to write papers, so they are graded, graded, and scored in weekly and monthly exams. Finally, the college entrance examination is more difficult and biased, but there are still so many colleges and universities, and those who are admitted are still in the top rankings.
So you won't roll when you get to college? It's still rolling. The paper originally required 5,000 words, and some people wrote 1000 words. When they received the tutor's praise, some people wrote 23,000 words, some people studied while having fun, and some people were keen to grab the first row of the classroom, so that even if there was a class the next morning, the classroom position could be occupied immediately. In order to get high marks, get postgraduate qualifications and get scholarships, college students strive for perfection in their usual homework and are eager to stand out. Even in order not to waste study time sleeping in the library ... college students are facing employment problems and are about to enter the society, so when they see others studying, they will feel anxious and worry that they will fall behind and be eliminated. There are even "chicken soup articles" on the Internet: "Why don't you work hard when you start a business in xxx University" and so on, reminding us that we need competition.
As a college student, I live in the old campus of the school. The school library is very small, and it is generally used by seniors who take the postgraduate entrance examination. So I can only study in the dormitory, but I was rejected by my roommate. But in fact, isn't the job of college students to study? When learning becomes shameful, it becomes normal to study secretly, with or without * * *.
Everyone says that a university that does not fail is incomplete, and it is indifferent and resigned to the final exam, but the fact is just the opposite. Many students wake up in the middle of the night and find that their roommates are staying up late to study.
Won't it roll up at work? Again, in the original nine-to-five job, some people are willing to work overtime until seven o'clock, some people can work overtime until eight o'clock, but in the end they may work overtime until ten o'clock. People are also creating anxiety for others. So what the world brings us is mostly powerlessness. In the face of involution, we can only be forced to accept it and imperceptibly agree that it is the necessity of social system and the instinct of human nature.
Is involution right or wrong?
I can't judge whether the involution is right or wrong. I can't understand that people participate in a happier and harder life, but successful people can't help the world at the same time, and the poor can't be alone; I can't understand that all countries in the world are involved in achieving a more stable era, but the human continent has twice set off world wars; I can't understand that people take exams in order to find jobs, but they can only get meager wages after paying more work. ...
Many people may not know what involution is and why it is an accepted truth that people are divided into three categories. They only know that by blindly imitating, following the crowd and involuting, they can make more efforts than others to pay next month's bills, get recognition from people around them and meet other people's expectations.
Everyone has the right to pursue beauty, but the development of modern society is too fast and the differences between people are too great. We must try our best to meet the requirements of the world. Some people participate in a higher standard of living and more money, but some people only participate in one meal. ......
Is involution good or bad?
Involution is to follow the trend and imitate blindly, but it can't be denied that it has promoted us and provided a large number of talents for the new era. People are constantly developing, reaching the goal of "the waves behind the Yangtze River push the waves ahead". As the main force of youth development in the new era, college students have also achieved scientific and technological innovation and social construction. Competition is a catalyst for personal and social development, which is intended to bring more happiness to people, but involution is at the expense of trampling on competitors, leading to a decline in overall happiness. In a word, involution does more harm than good.
With the rapid development of the world, competition is inevitable, and everyone has his own pursuit and goal.
Contemporary college students can be divided into three States: hard work, involution and lying flat.
We already know the meaning of involution. In fact, involution does not mean hard work.
Efforts are positive energy for individuals, and they are self-choice and progress from the heart.
People who lie flat refuse to participate and work hard. It is the choice that they have no direction to struggle, lose themselves and muddle along.
In my opinion, involution may be inevitable, which has always existed in the whole society. Personal strength is bound to be low, and involution will take a long time to change.
Why do people flock?
Under the involution, people are physically and mentally exhausted. People loudly appeal against involution, but in fact, people will throw it away and pick it up again. When they see others involved, they verbally resent and resist, but they can't wait to join in. Of course, people rarely choose to lie flat, but most prefer learning and competition.
Just like everyone is climbing the mountain of life, you don't know where others have climbed, and you don't want to be the one who looks up at the mountain at the bottom. So when you are tired and want to have a rest, you are worried that you are behind others, so you can only grit your teeth and ignore your own choices. This is the vicious competition caused by involution.
Are you against or in favor of involution of college students?
I am resisting the involution of college students.
Involution makes college students self-centered, constantly comparing with others, paying too much attention to others' behaviors and achievements, and losing themselves.
People who want to lie flat are afraid of falling behind, so they try to assimilate others and sneer at their efforts. People who want to work hard, when they see others working hard, will feel anxious, sometimes confident, sometimes confused, lose their own rhythm and lose the direction of their efforts. In the end, everyone began to fall into a state of involution and couldn't jump out.
I think: college students should be pragmatic and innovative groups, have their own ideas, opinions and pursuits, need to be rational and not eager for quick success, and be able to get rid of the shackles of involution and be independent. This is what young people in the new era should look like.
My suggestion is:
Send your own light, don't put out others' light. In the process of exploration, we can get answers that follow our hearts and find happiness in life. We might as well go out and see more, cultivate our hobbies, enjoy the present college life, love, study and live.
We don't take the rejection of involution as a reason to lie flat, work hard, follow our true intentions and know ourselves. We don't have to feel inferior and anxious. We don't compare ourselves with others, but pay more attention to our growth and progress.
Only by developing one's own strength, enriching one's heart, clarifying one's pursuit and strengthening one's confidence can one calmly reduce anxiety and face involution.
Finally:
Back to the essence of involution, involution is the competition between peers to make more efforts for limited resources. Competition is inevitable, efforts are right, and the problem of resources is a part of society. As the main force in building society, we college students need to study hard, change the social status quo, create resources, and fundamentally solve the involution phenomenon.
In the turn of the times, what remains unchanged is the attitude of young people; In the historical coordinates, what is always clear is the footsteps of youth. May the young people in China get rid of vicious competition, make progress, contribute and shine.
