1. Definition of corporate integrity
Honesty is the traditional virtue of the Chinese nation. Honesty, as the name implies, is honesty and trustworthiness. As the most important microeconomic subject in the process of economic operation, the credit status of enterprises is not only directly related to their own reputation, but also affects the integrity construction of the whole society. Corporate integrity contains diversified connotations.
Honesty is a moral concept. As the main body directly participating in the market competition, enterprises must take honesty as the basic morality, follow the "rules of the game" and take honesty as the foundation to build enterprise brands.
Honesty is a value standard. Under the influence of Confucian culture, orientals pay attention to "what they say must be done, and what they do must be fruitful". In this environment, enterprises must form the values of honesty, be proud of honesty and be ashamed of breaking promises.
Honesty is a code of conduct. It always restricts the actions of enterprises, and requires enterprises to make efforts for their commitments on the basis of sincere cooperation to achieve a win-win situation.
Honesty is a social responsibility. Clarence Walton, a famous management scientist, said: "Enterprise managers should look at corporate responsibility with a global concept. Because in this view, enterprises are regarded as organizations that emphasize credit, goodwill and morality rather than money-making machines. " Oh, honesty is a sense of social responsibility to keep promises.
Honesty is a management philosophy. In the business activities of an enterprise, it is necessary to infiltrate integrity into every link of the enterprise, use integrity to check the transactions when treating customers and maintaining transactions, and establish the guiding ideology of "operating with integrity and putting users first".
Honesty is a legal norm. Article 6 of People's Republic of China (PRC) Contract Law stipulates: "The parties shall follow the principle of good faith when exercising their rights and performing their obligations." As the main body engaged in economic activities, enterprises must strictly fulfill the basic obligation of honesty.
2. The importance of corporate integrity
In modern society, honesty has become the basis for the survival and development of an enterprise. For enterprises, the importance of honesty is mainly reflected in the following aspects:
(1) Honesty is a passport for enterprises in a market economy. Only when an enterprise is honest and trustworthy can it form a good reputation over time, and it is in a favorable position in business dealings and becomes a passport to expand exchanges, promote cooperation and succeed.
(2) Integrity is the guarantee for the survival and development of enterprises. In a highly commercialized modern society, for enterprises, honesty is a golden signboard, which is the foundation and lifeline of enterprises. Only by realizing the customer identity based on honesty can enterprises benefit for a long time.
(3) Integrity is a favorable weapon for enterprises to participate in market competition. Shopping malls are like battlefields, and market competition is actually a reputation war without smoke. Whoever wins a good market reputation will win customers better and occupy the market to the greatest extent.
(4) Integrity is a powerful intangible asset created, established and formed by enterprises themselves. As a special resource, honesty is reflected in many fields, such as market development, brand building, customer resource utilization, financing, wealth management and so on. It is more valuable than tangible assets. In the west, there is the idea that "reputation is money", and in China, there is the creed that "genuine goods are not cheated by children", which shows that honesty is the intangible asset with the most potential value for enterprises.
(B) the special importance of the integrity of private enterprises
Since the reform and opening up, China's private enterprises have grown rapidly, and their development process has shown the advantages of clear property rights, clear rights and responsibilities, flexible mechanism and strong adaptability, but their own weaknesses and limitations have also seriously restricted the faster development of private enterprises. In particular, the lack of good faith has become a key issue affecting the survival and development of private enterprises.
1. Influenced by traditional ideas, the social identity of private enterprises is relatively low. When it comes to private enterprises, the public often has the understanding that "private enterprises have a poor reputation". If private enterprises want to leave a good impression in people's minds, they must strengthen the construction of integrity.
2. Private enterprises are small in scale and weak in strength. In order to gain a place in the fierce market competition, some private enterprises often choose to lose credibility and protect their own interests. In fact, the smaller the scale, the weaker the strength, and the more attention should be paid to the construction of integrity. In the fierce market competition, the company should find a correct market position and seek opportunities and conditions for survival and development with credibility.
3. The management level of private enterprises is low. Most private enterprises are family-owned. Sometimes, in order to gain benefits, it is necessary to violate honesty and morality. This is undoubtedly a foolish act to kill the goose that lays the golden egg. For the further development of enterprises, we must also strengthen the construction of integrity.
4. There are many problems of lack of honesty in private enterprises. Breach of trust has brought great difficulties to private enterprises in terms of loans and recruitment, and has become a "bottleneck" on the development path of private enterprises.
Obviously, in the development of private enterprises, their living environment and competitive conditions are relatively weak, and it is difficult to compete with other types of enterprises, especially large enterprises, in terms of funds, equipment, technology, talents and management. In this case, only the characteristics and reputation are the most important. However, the formation of characteristics also depends on the above objective conditions, and only by subjectively recognizing and creating reputation first. And integrity is the cornerstone of creating reputation. Therefore, the integrity construction of private enterprises is imminent.
Second, the integrity of China's private enterprises analysis
(A) the development and contribution of private enterprises in China
Since the reform and opening up, with the support of a series of national principles and policies, and through the hard work of the vast number of private enterprises, private enterprises have gradually developed from scratch, from weak to strong, from "picking up the missing" to "decisive". Nowadays, the proportion of private enterprises is increasing, and the private economy has become the highlight of China's economic growth.
Private enterprises not only grow rapidly, but also make great contributions to China's economic development in stabilizing employment, stimulating economic growth, increasing fiscal revenue, eliminating shortage economy, expanding exports, stabilizing society and promoting development, and their credit status has changed and improved compared with the initial stage. The main influencing factors are:
1. Private enterprises have developed rapidly, their overall scale has expanded and their social influence has increased.
2. A few large and powerful enterprises have emerged in the development of private enterprises, and their market image and social reputation have been improved, which has changed people's bad impression of private enterprises to some extent.
3. In the process of establishing the market economy system, the proportion of private economy has been expanding, and the society's understanding of different ownership economies has also changed.
4. Private enterprises themselves pay more attention to the construction of honesty, and some enterprises have always regarded honesty as the core concept of enterprises.
(B) problems in the integrity of private enterprises
There are many bright spots in the development of private enterprises, but we should also be soberly aware that there are still some phenomena, such as forgetting profits, counterfeiting, tax evasion, unfair competition and uncoordinated labor relations, and there are still many problems in the integrity of private enterprises that cannot be ignored.
1. The quality of products is low, fake and shoddy products emerge one after another, and shoddy products are more common. It has seriously disrupted the market economic order and ruined the image of private enterprises.
2. Private enterprises generally have no trade unions, and labor disputes are growing faster than other enterprises, which leads to the inability of enterprises to attract outstanding employees and limits the development of enterprises.
3. Financial opacity, private enterprises often make three accounts, one to the tax bureau, and evade taxes by reducing profits; One is to give loans to banks by inflating profits; Keep another one for your own use. Under the condition of piecework wage system, employees can get less wages, resulting in a bad situation of lack of tax credit, loan credit and financial credit.
4. Corporate governance is weak, private enterprises are mostly family-owned, enterprise leaders are centralized, established rules and regulations exist in name only, and management is not standardized.
5. The phenomenon of default, evasion and vicious evasion of debts is widespread, which makes a large number of mutual defaults between private enterprises not alleviated for a long time and seriously affects the development potential of private enterprises.
6. Breach of contract and litigation occur from time to time. According to statistics, at present, there are about 4 billion contracts in China every year, but the contract implementation rate is only about 60%, which leads to the fear of private enterprises in the communication process and greatly increases the transaction cost.
7. Unfair competition among private enterprises is also a manifestation of their lack of credit. Including counterfeiting registered trademarks of others; Fabricating and spreading false facts, damaging the business reputation of competitors; In order to crowd out competitors and engage in low-price dumping, consumers distrust private enterprises as a whole.
There are many reasons why private enterprises break their promises, including their own responsibilities and external reasons.
1. policies and regulations are missing. China's current legal system is not perfect, and it is not mandatory for debtors to perform their obligations, which makes many debt enterprises take advantage of the loopholes in the law and take the opportunity to evade debts. At the same time, the policies, laws, norms and constraints of state-owned enterprises and private enterprises are different, which makes private enterprises have many restrictions on market entry.
2. Insufficient market supervision. It makes enterprises feel that they can take advantage of it and provides a hotbed for private enterprises to make and sell fakes. Enterprises with good reputation can not be effectively protected, but enterprises with poor credit can pass through cheap prices without hindrance. Over time, many private enterprises have developed in the direction of "low reputation and high income" from the perspective of safeguarding their own interests.
3. The influence of social environment. Public opinion has exposed too many private enterprises that have broken their promises, neglected the positive propaganda, and dampened the enthusiasm of private enterprises to establish the values of honesty. In addition, private enterprises also influence each other. Once private enterprises are cheated in economic exchanges, in order to minimize losses, they will use the same tricks to cheat other enterprises, so kidnapping will form a vicious circle.
4. Private enterprises' own reasons are the most fundamental reasons for their lack of integrity. There are many reasons from the analysis of the enterprise itself.
(1) The development foundation is weak. Most private enterprises start from scratch and have no solid family background. Faced with fierce competition, in order to survive and seek development, they often choose opportunism.
(2) Interest-driven. The real buyer's market in China has not yet formed, and the initiative in commodity trading is still in the hands of sellers. As long as the products produced have sales channels, profit-driven fraud will not stop.
(3) Low management level. Private enterprises lack management talents, so it is difficult to obtain timely and accurate market information, and it is even more difficult to make decisive analysis and decision. Only through unfair means such as unfair competition can they gain benefits.
(4) The competitive strength is weak. In terms of capital, technology, equipment and talents, private enterprises cannot compete with other types of large enterprises. Under such circumstances, making money by counterfeiting and opportunism naturally becomes their first choice.
(5) Private enterprises have poor self-discipline. Private enterprises generally adopt family system, with unreasonable structure and imperfect mechanism. The rights of business leaders are not supervised. It is their nature to be mercenary, and they can do whatever it takes to make a profit.
To sum up, the problem of dishonesty exists in many aspects of private enterprises, which brings a serious crisis to the development of enterprises, affects the development speed of private enterprises, hinders the promotion of private enterprises, reduces the social reputation of private enterprises, and then harms their own interests. In order to achieve rapid development, the vast number of private enterprises urgently need to strengthen the construction of integrity.
Third, build a credit system of private enterprises that conforms to modern corporate culture.
Honesty is the basic requirement of market economy for enterprises, and it is the source, foundation and development foundation of enterprise honesty. To establish a credit system in private enterprises, we must realize that credit is not only the behavior of individual private enterprises, but also the code of conduct of private enterprises and even enterprises as a whole; Honesty is not only manifested in the internal or external behavior of private enterprises, but also should become a unified social code of conduct inside and outside enterprises; Honesty is not only the behavior phenomenon of private enterprises, but also the stable and lasting behavior concept of enterprises, which conforms to the good realm of modern social and cultural development; Honesty is not only a characteristic of a certain level of private enterprises, but also an essential system covering all kinds of behaviors of enterprises. Therefore, the credit system construction of private enterprises is an all-round and multi-level systematic project.
In the long run, if private enterprises want to establish a credit system, they must closely link credit with corporate culture. Only through the construction of corporate culture and the creation of corporate integrity concept can we truly establish the concept of integrity, enhance the core competitiveness of enterprises, and let integrity be widely established and developed in enterprises.
(A) the objectives of the credit system construction of private enterprises
Through the construction of credit system, honesty and trustworthiness have become the core content of corporate culture, providing a good environment for the healthy development of private enterprises. Within the enterprise, leaders care about employees and everyone is dedicated. Enterprises should treat each other honestly and seek common development. Establish the concept of honesty and trustworthiness in the whole private enterprise, push the integrity construction to the whole society and improve the integrity level of the whole society.
(B) the elements of the credit system of private enterprises
"Integrity refers to attachment and loyalty, which consists of three parts: recognition of goals and corporate values; A sense of belonging to the enterprise; And the willingness to work hard on behalf of the enterprise ",which is the integrity factor summarized by management scientist Modley. The credit system construction of private enterprises also has its specific contents and elements, including the generalization of the purpose and nature of enterprises, the requirements for enterprise leaders, the constraints on employees, and the provisions that enterprises should bear social responsibilities. To truly establish the credit system of private enterprises requires the joint efforts of the government and enterprises.
(C) private enterprise credit system construction ideas and models
Building a credit system is not a simple slogan, but includes the commitment to employees in private enterprises, employees' commitment to enterprises, subordinates' commitment to superiors, superiors' commitment to subordinates, commitments between departments and colleagues, and commitments to external customers and partners. In addition, the government needs to provide a series of policies conducive to the development of private enterprises. Carry out integrity in every link of the enterprise.
1. Establish integrity within the enterprise
To implement honesty in private enterprises, we must first cultivate an honest corporate culture within the organization. Encourage employees with honest corporate culture, cultivate loyalty and give play to the self-innovation ability of culture.
Specifically, we should do the following.
(1) centralized structure and clear management.
If private enterprises want to develop continuously, they must establish a management structure with clear rights and responsibilities. In addition, the organizational structure of private enterprises should be flat, reduce the middle layer, eliminate the status gap and realize the equality of all members.
(2) Leaders lead by example
In private enterprises, leading cadres lead by example is the best way to win the trust of employees. Leaders can take the factory as their home, set an example of hard work and dedication for employees, so that the integrity concept of enterprises can not be passed on to employees. Therefore, setting an example is a shortcut to establish integrity.
(3) Pay attention to collective behavior.
The enterprise is a whole, and it needs collective efforts to make the cake bigger. First of all, the factory director should have democratic consciousness, mobilize the enthusiasm of employees, brainstorm and create wealth for the enterprise. All functional departments within the enterprise should also have the same goal, coordinate with each other, strengthen communication, eliminate hostility between departments, encourage fair competition, speed up the decision-making process and improve the cooperation results.
(4) Realize the commitment to employees.
In modern enterprises, the value of people in enterprises has been promoted to a new height. Enterprise operation needs people, product research and development needs people, and enterprise management also needs people. The leadership should be loyal to employees and earnestly fulfill their commitments to employees. Only when business leaders and employees work together can they win in the market competition.
(5) Cultivate employees' loyalty
Cultivating the integrity of private enterprises requires the recognition and participation of all employees. To cultivate employees' loyalty, we should start from the source. When recruiting new employees, strengthen the moral test and choose people with both ability and political integrity; Strengthen honesty education when training new employees; In the performance appraisal, we should refer to the moral performance of employees and comprehensively assess their performance. With such employment standards, training standards and assessment standards, we can establish a responsible team within the enterprise and bring the enterprise to a higher level of development.
2. Establish customer integrity
In the process of credit system construction of private enterprises, customer credit construction is the most important, and the growth of private enterprises depends on the support and trust of customers. In the process of communicating with customers, private enterprises should always establish the concept of honesty, and take providing customers with the best products, the best service, the most suitable price and the most satisfactory performance as the top priority of the enterprise.
Product integrity comes first. What customers value most is product quality. In a perfect market economy, enterprises with high product quality can naturally stand out in the competition of survival of the fittest. In practical work, private enterprises should strictly abide by various rules and regulations and operating techniques, not be satisfied with the existing achievements, and constantly pursue Excellence, so as to keep the quality in a dynamic state of continuous improvement.
Secondly, service integrity. The so-called service integrity is the integrity concept with the goal of improving customer satisfaction. By carrying out service satisfaction activities, improve service level and quality, and improve customer loyalty.
Third, sales integrity. The importance of honesty is also reflected in sales activities everywhere. Only when the sales performance goes up can the profits of enterprises be expected to increase. How to improve sales performance? Relying on excellent products, real information and effective promotion methods.
Competitive integrity is also crucial. There is a certain competitive relationship between enterprises in the same industry or between buyers and sellers If private enterprises want to stand out from the competition, they must establish the concept of competitive integrity, attract customers through fair competition and be invincible in the same industry.
In short, private enterprises should work together to establish product integrity, service integrity, sales integrity and competition integrity, treat customers with integrity as a constant corporate culture, enhance the sense of identity of all employees, and guide enterprises to keep moving forward.
Sincere alliance
The development of private enterprises not only needs their own efforts, but also needs to establish cooperative relations between private enterprises under the background of economic globalization and realize honest alliance.
No matter strong alliance, strong alliance, weak alliance or even weak alliance, the purpose is to realize the effective mobilization and utilization of capital and resources, to realize economies of scale, to exert the effect of 1 plus 1 greater than 2, and to make private enterprises show their talents in commercial wars.
Alliances can take different forms. At present, the most common form of domestic private enterprises is direct cooperation.
Limited by capital and scale, private enterprises can't cover everything. It is often difficult to meet the requirements of customers by the strength of one enterprise alone, and it is necessary to seek another enterprise to form an alliance for cooperation. However, enterprises are unwilling to give up their autonomy. Generally speaking, they often form alliances through direct cooperation.
Of course, cooperation does not mean calm, and both sides cannot be required to reach an agreement on all issues quickly. But in a frank relationship, when encountering contradictions, the two companies will take the initiative to seek knowledge and reach a constructive solution.
4. The government provides policy support for private enterprises.
Private enterprises' own efforts are internal factors and play a decisive role in the establishment of credit system. In order to establish and maintain the credit system of private enterprises as soon as possible, the government should also create a positive environment for them from a macro perspective.
(1) Investment and financing. The government should encourage the four major commercial banks to provide undifferentiated financial services for different enterprises; We should develop the private financial system as soon as possible; Improve the guarantee system to better provide guarantee services for private enterprise financing.
(2) industry access. In order to break the restrictions on domestic private enterprises, the threshold for private enterprises to participate in the competition with state-owned enterprises should be standardized and unified, except for investment areas explicitly restricted by the state.
(3) Foreign trade. We should effectively lower the entry threshold of private enterprises in the field of foreign trade, establish loose, transparent and fair competition foreign trade policies and regulations, especially improve the export tax rebate system, so that export tax rebate can really promote the foreign trade development of private enterprises.
