Can SCI paper data be reused?
This situation is not uncommon. Duplication of data in SCI papers is not explicitly prohibited, but authors should be especially careful. If it is not handled properly, it may bring trouble to the author.
Generally speaking, it is unethical to use the same data in multiple articles, and such repeated publication is not encouraged. However, if the author thinks that the previous data is very necessary for this follow-up paper, please inform the journal editor first. Authors should try their best to keep the submitted content clear and transparent. In this case, it will be based on the decision of the editor. In addition, subsequent papers should clearly point out which data have been published elsewhere, and cite previous papers in references.
If the author must use some of the same experimental data, he can make a simple modification or transformation, that is, don't move it intact, and then be sure to mark it, otherwise it will be easily identified as self-plagiarism, because the copyright of the previous related data already belongs to the previously published magazine. If the newly published papers have the same content and are not marked, it is easy to be identified as plagiarism, and the author needs to pay special attention.
