The thickness of thick-coated fire retardant coating, of which 80% or more should meet the design requirements of fire resistance limit, and the thickness of the thinnest part should not be less than 85% of the design requirements. Check with coating thickness gauge, measuring needle and steel rule. The measurement method shall conform to CECS 24: 90 Technical Specification for Application of Fire Retardant Coatings for Steel Structures and Appendix F of this specification.
