At present, our department has two doctoral degrees in human geography and physical geography, and seven master's degrees in physical geography, human geography, cartography and geographic information system, environmental science, environmental engineering, urban planning and design, and regional economics. In 2005, he obtained a master's degree in geography, a master's degree in environmental science and engineering, and a master's degree in environmental engineering. At the same time, our department has five undergraduate majors: resource environment and urban and rural planning management, geographic information system, urban planning, environmental science and environmental engineering. Among them, the undergraduate majors of geographic information system and resource environment, urban and rural planning and management won famous brands in Shaanxi universities in 2002 and 2004 respectively. At present, the major of urban planning, design and environmental engineering in our department has gradually formed a characteristic major with the characteristics of a comprehensive university, which has been well received by peers and employers. Human geography, regional analysis and planning, geographic information system and other courses were rated as excellent courses in Shaanxi Province. In recent years, in teaching, we actively reform the curriculum system to meet the needs of social development. According to the actual needs of national and regional resource development, environmental protection, urban and rural construction and planning management, adjust the curriculum and strengthen the teaching of basic knowledge, basic theory and basic skills in geography, environmental science and related disciplines (management, economics, urban planning and design, etc.). ); In teaching, adding case teaching requires teachers to apply scientific research results to all aspects of teaching, forming the teaching characteristics that teaching and scientific research develop in harmony and complement each other. At the same time, various majors have established a standardized teacher-student interaction mechanism by implementing graduation practice reports, academic paper exchange reports, and professional teacher-student forums.
There are 70 faculty members in the Department of Urban and Resources and the Department of Environment, including 52 full-time teachers, including professors 10, associate professors10, and doctoral supervisors10/.Twenty of them have obtained doctoral degrees, and five are studying for doctoral degrees. The proportion of teachers with senior titles is 52%. In addition, Academician Liu Changming was hired as a double professor, and scholars such as Chen Zongxing, Zhao Rong and Li Rui were selected as doctoral supervisors.
After years of academic accumulation, the Department of Urban and Resources has formed three research directions with distinctive discipline characteristics and regional characteristics around "regional environment and sustainable development", namely, "spatial function zoning and sustainable development of land in different scales in northwest China" based on human geography and urban planning and design; Based on physical geography and environmental science, "Environmental response of modern surface processes on the Loess Plateau and its ecological security regulation"; Construction of "3S" platform based on geographic information technology and its application in regional environment and sustainable development.
On the basis of systematically studying the theory, methods, types and index system of land main function zoning in different scales in northwest China, the land main function is divided into five categories: optimized development zone, key development zone, restricted development zone, forbidden development zone and gray elastic zone. On this basis, the resources of Northwest China, Shaanxi Province, Weihe River Basin, Daxian Area, Qinba Mountain Area, Loess Plateau in northern Shaanxi and typical districts and counties were developed respectively. Select Weihe River Basin, Daxi area, Hanzhong area, huangling county and Yulin (Jinyuan) eco-industrial park, carry out regional PRED system simulation based on SD model, establish a coupling model of coordinated development of resources, ecology, economy and society under different constraints, and put forward a comprehensive solution for spatial-temporal cooperation and integration of PRED in different regions.
Environmental response and ecological security regulation of modern land surface processes in the Loess Plateau focus on typical areas such as human intensive activity areas, resource development areas and ecological conservation areas on the Loess Plateau. Dynamic information of land use/cover is extracted based on remote sensing technology, and GIS spatial analysis simulation technology and scenario analysis method are used. Combined with the evolution of regional environment, this paper reveals the dynamic feedback mechanism between nature and human activities, understands the environmental effect of land use change, expounds the mechanism of human behavior change, and reveals how the environment changes and how human beings adapt to nature and social economy driven by human needs. From the perspective of regional ecological security, in the identification, evaluation and classification of various vulnerabilities, the risk and vulnerability index systems of land use and cover change on different scales are established, and scientific adaptation schemes are put forward, so that decision makers can correctly evaluate the impact of land use change on society, economy and environment and transmit the results to the public. At the same time, ecological methods and techniques are applied to carry out ecological planning for different types of typical areas, and the spatial ecological security pattern of regional sustainable development is constructed. Integrate the appropriate ecological construction models and technologies in the demonstration area, and strengthen the promotion of technologies and models.
In the construction of "3S" platform and its application in regional environment and sustainable development, geographic information technology is organically combined with regional development. The main research contents include: (1) Research on regional soil erosion simulation model and related algorithms based on digital elevation model; Research on automatic extraction of land use change information based on digital remote sensing images and time series classification: development of regional modern surface process simulation and digital remote sensing image analysis middleware based on DigMap; Upgrade and development of DigMap GIS software system and its component development platform.
The Department of Urban and Resources and the Department of Environmental Science have organically integrated geographical science, environmental science and civil science in teaching and research, actively explored and innovated in interdisciplinary fields, and achieved many influential application results, which have been highly valued by academic circles and the government. Looking forward to the future, we will, as always, adhere to the teaching and scientific research purpose of "broadening the caliber, laying a solid foundation, advocating cross-cutting and paying attention to application" and make our due contribution to the implementation of China's "western development" strategy and the cultivation of comprehensive applied talents.
