The hot stuffy treatment of converter steel slag is the most common and mature steel slag treatment technology at present. One ton of steel slag contains scrap steel 12% and liquid steel slag 1600℃. Spray 10mm steel slag with high-pressure water, the temperature will be reduced from 1600℃ to 800℃, and then pour into the slag pit, the temperature can be reduced to 320℃, the pressure is P=0.3MP, and the thermal tightness is 8 ~ 65438.

Its main feature is that high-temperature (1600℃) steel slag is poured into the slag pit, sprayed with water, and covered with a slag cover. When hot slag meets water in the closed slag pit, a large amount of saturated steam is generated, so that the steel slag can be crushed and pulverized by itself. The hot stuffy treatment process of converter steel slag opens up a new way for the comprehensive utilization of converter steel slag.

Its advantages are as follows:

1, and the amount of steel slag with particle size less than 20mm accounts for 60%~80%, which saves the multistage crushing equipment of steel slag hot splashing process.

Compared with other processes, the thermal stuffy treatment of steel slag can fully react free calcium oxide (f-CaO) and free magnesium oxide (f-MgO) in tailings, eliminate the unstable factors of steel slag, make steel slag safely and reliably used in building materials and engineering, and the utilization rate of tailings can reach 100%.

4. The solubility of hydraulic minerals dicalcium silicate and tricalcium silicate in steel slag powder is not reduced, which ensures the quality of steel slag.

5. The particle size of steel slag after pulverization is small, so it does not need to be broken when it is used in building materials industry. In fine grinding, it can also improve grinding efficiency and save power consumption.
