There are three sources of dirty gas:
One is the air swallowed into the stomach when eating and talking;
The second is the gas that the blood diffuses into the intestinal cavity;
Third, some foods contain indigestible gas-producing amino groups (such as fat, sugar and amino acids), which are decomposed by bacteria in the colon to produce gas.
These gases are fully fermented in the intestinal cavity and then discharged from the anus, which is what we commonly call fart.
Under normal circumstances, there is often 100 150 ml gas in the intestinal cavity, and the total amount of gas produced by human body every day is 500 1000 ml. Adults fart 5 to 20 times a day, and sometimes they vent their anus without knowing it. If a person doesn't fart, or keeps farting all day, it may indicate that there is something wrong with his body.
There are many reasons for farting, such as eating too much indigestible starch and protein food, or stomach diseases such as dyspepsia, gastritis and peptic ulcer, as well as hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases, which lead to decreased secretion of digestive enzymes and indigestion after eating food. Functional dyspepsia is related to gastrointestinal peristalsis, while intestinal inflammation, cancer and other diseases can cause organic dyspepsia and fart.
On the other hand, foods that are easy to produce gas, such as white radish, sweet potato, potato, yam, taro, bean products, onions, garlic, cereals, etc. , contains a large number of polysaccharide compounds that the human body cannot absorb. When the sugar that these bacteria like enters the intestine, the bacteria begin to work and produce a lot of gas.
It's the same thing to fart less. Some people think that it is a matter to be proud that they never fart or seldom fart, but in fact, fart is the waste gas produced by our human body, which contains some toxic and harmful substances. Holding on to "waste gas" for a long time is not good for our health.
Fart will accumulate in the large intestine, be repeatedly absorbed by the intestinal mucosa and flow with the blood. After a long time, it will lead to chest tightness, abdominal distension and other symptoms, affect digestion and absorption function, and increase the burden of detoxification organs such as the liver. In addition, often holding the fart will make body form suffer from chronic poisoning, with symptoms such as listlessness, indigestion, dizziness and sallow complexion.
In addition, fart is annoying because it has a bad smell and is produced by the decomposition of food in the intestine. We can roughly judge the health of the human body by the smell of fart:
(1) gastrointestinal bleeding and intestinal cancer-stench
Smelly fart may indicate gastrointestinal bleeding, blood accumulates in the gastrointestinal tract and is fermented and decomposed by bacteria, and sometimes the feces discharged will be like tar. In addition, when there is a malignant tumor in the intestine, the fart released will also have a foul smell due to the erosion, peeling and bleeding of the cancer tissue, coupled with the decomposition and fermentation of bacteria. If your fart suddenly has a special foul smell and lasts for more than 2 weeks, you need to be highly vigilant, which may indicate intestinal cancer, intestinal erosion, intestinal necrosis and so on. You'd better go to the hospital to check your stool.
(2) Enteritis-very smelly fart.
If your fart suddenly stinks, but you haven't eaten irritating food such as garlic, onion and leek recently, and you haven't eaten too much meat, then you should be careful, because this phenomenon may be caused by some intestinal inflammation or gastrointestinal dysfunction.
(3) Dietary problems-rotten eggs fart
Generally speaking, eating too much greasy or eating too much meat is easy to fart and smells like rotten eggs. This is because protein and fat will be decomposed by intestinal fermentation to produce indole and hydrogen sulfide, which are not only malodorous, but also toxic. These gases can corrode the intestinal wall, leading to the decrease of intestinal barrier function and the increase of permeability, so that toxic substances in the intestine can enter the blood, thus endangering human health.
Farting is indecent, but at some point, it is "a fart is worth 1000 yuan" If a patient who has undergone abdominal surgery can fart within 48 hours after operation, the patient will feel comfortable, his family will feel at ease, and the doctor will feel at ease. Because anal exhaust shows that gastrointestinal peristalsis has been restored to a great extent, patients can safely gradually resume their diet.
Therefore, farting too much or too little is some signals transmitted by the body, which needs attention. So, how to adjust the fart behavior?
(1) For people who often fart, it is recommended to eat more meals in small quantities. Don't overeat. Chew slowly when eating, and avoid eating too much air together.
(2) Reduce the intake of starchy foods and increase foods rich in plant fiber such as vegetables. Avoid eating cold food, gas-producing food and drinks, and avoid catching cold, which is helpful to improve gastrointestinal function.
(3) Massage the stomach can promote gastrointestinal peristalsis, reduce the burden on the stomach, and help to empty the gas in the gastrointestinal cavity. For example, rubbing your hands before going to bed, then covering your navel and alternately massaging clockwise and counterclockwise, is very helpful to your stomach. Suitable for people with food retention or gastrointestinal discomfort.
(4) Insisting on physical exercise is helpful to promote the absorption of gastrointestinal nutrients and reduce the number of farts. Many people often fart because of lack of exercise, and the digestion and absorption efficiency of the stomach is low, causing flatulence symptoms.
If you still fart after adjusting your eating habits, accompanied by diarrhea, constipation, irregular stool and other symptoms, you need to go to the hospital in time to do colonoscopy to rule out intestinal organic lesions.
