Luxi county is located in the west of Hunan Province, southeast of Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, and is the "south gate" of Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture. Its geographical coordinates are 27 54' ~ 28 28' north latitude and 65 438+009 40' ~ 65 438+06 5438+00 65 438+04' east longitude. Yuanling County in the east, Chenxi County and Mayang County in the south, Jishou City and Fenghuang County in the west and Guzhang County in the north, with a width of 79.5 kilometers from east to west and a length of 104 kilometers from north to south. Luxi county is located in the transition zone from Wuling Mountain to Xuefeng Mountain, with more than 2,700 hills. It is a mountainous county with "eight mountains, half water, one field, half road and manor". The landform is arranged in a "Sichuan" shape from east to southwest, with high in the west and low in the east, and inclined from west to east.
