Judging from the particularity of musicology major, it is impossible for other students of performance department to show their teaching achievements by participating in various music competitions or public concerts within a limited study period. Moreover, the academic nature of this major also determines that it is impossible to make achievements in a certain research field without ten or twenty years of professional accumulation. Obviously, there is no room for quick success here. Our teaching achievements are mainly reflected in graduates' dissertations. Judging from the graduation thesis of 45 undergraduates who have passed thesis defense and obtained bachelor's degree, they can complete topic selection and writing well under the guidance of teachers, and they can follow certain academic norms, have the ability of independent thinking and expression, and generally learn how to face a research topic and carry out various aspects of research. Topics covered include: the history of western music, the history of modern music in China, music psychology and music ethnology (for details, please refer to the original bachelor's degree thesis of previous graduates).
