Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the CPC Central Committee has vigorously promoted the construction of new urbanization, emphasizing the need to adhere to the road of new urbanization with China characteristics. At the same time, the dual structure of urban and rural areas still exists, and rural development faces many difficulties. Realize the grand goal of achieving a well-off society in an all-round way put forward by the 18 Party Congress. Therefore, it is very important to comprehensively promote the construction of new urbanization and coordinate urban and rural development. Taking Weining County as an example, this paper makes a preliminary discussion on the new urbanization process of coordinated development between urban and rural areas, and puts forward some suggestions to promote the sustainable development of urban and rural areas in Weining County.
