In 2004, Deng Xiaolan came to Malan Village, Laiyuan County, Baoding City, Hebei Province as a volunteer. At that time, children here had little access to music, let alone singing. So Deng Xiaolan decided to teach them music, collect musical instruments and form a choir.

With the efforts of Deng Xiaolan, the children here have the opportunity to learn to sing, play musical instruments and show their talents. They participated in various national music competitions and won many awards. Deng Xiaolan established "Malan Art Troupe in Laiyuan County, Baoding City" and achieved good results.

1943, Deng Xiaolan was born in Yijiazhuang Village, Fuping County, Hebei Province, and later moved to Mapeng Village and Malan Village in this county. She "ate the milk of Fuping's hometown".

After graduating from college, Deng Xiaolan was assigned to work in Shandong, and 1995 was transferred back to Beijing. At this time, Ding Yilan, my mother, and many old reporters of Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Daily devoted themselves to the study of that glorious history. Deng Xiaolan helped them copy and organize. Later, I saw that these 80-year-old people were still busy around, and simply joined the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Daily History Research Association to provide services for everyone.
