CCTV once again stressed that domestic violence is not a housework. What does the law need to do to combat domestic violence?
In recent years, domestic violence has become the biggest factor of family conflicts, which has disintegrated many happy families. The law has also begun to formulate some provisions against domestic violence, because these domestic violence cases often occur. However, there are still many things that need to be done by law in order to really crack down on domestic violence. Among the provisions that need to be formulated in these laws, the victim side is bound to be favored.

First, formulate a sound protection policy. The main victims of domestic violence are women. These women are not only unable to resist, but also constantly forced to accept the beatings of their husbands and suffer both physical and psychological devastation. Most of these female members have no formal jobs or high-paying jobs. Because of economic differences, their husbands will think that women are not in the same life class as them, which will make women's living status lower and treat them with heavier fists. Therefore, the first thing that the law should protect is the personal safety of these women victims.

Second, a heavy blow to the perpetrators. Similarly, the abuse of these domestic abusers still exists today, also because the punishment of these perpetrators is not enough. If these perpetrators can be thoroughly punished according to law, then they will not dare to ignore the law and punch and kick their other half again. And these punishments can't just be a fine or a period of time. They must deeply reflect on the perpetrators in order to completely solve the violent behavior of the perpetrators.

Third, the marriage protection for women should be relaxed appropriately. Finally, women's marriage system should be re-formulated. In the past, if there was a contradiction between men and women, it was usually proposed by the neighborhood Committee to mediate and then divorce. But with the progress of society, many people will divorce directly without mediation. In order to ensure the long-term marriage, the law puts forward measures such as a cooling-off period for divorce, aiming at making both men and women think clearly about divorcing again, avoiding the inconvenience of women after divorce, and at the same time giving the man a chance to turn over a new leaf and let him give up the idea of domestic violence.
