Understanding a book and a play may seem simple to some people. But I don't think so. I must admit that there are indeed many books and movies that belong to fast food, but why do they appear? Because there is public demand, some people like it. Everything has its rationality. Being able to be vulgar is actually an elegance! Think about it, don't people who scold Zhang Yimou and other great directors spend money to watch their movies? In fact, the act of buying tickets to watch movies basically supports the survival of the film industry. No matter what movies you watch, you will actually learn something more or less, and so will books! Take a work like Harry Potter, even if it is elegant and popular! But adults and children all praise Harry for being brave, Ron for being kind and Hermione for being smart! Isn't that what people have learned from this work? What I want to say is: it's not necessarily serious. What is difficult to understand is a classic. Sometimes, as long as we need it, it is a classic. Just as people who eat roadside stalls are not necessarily less than five hotels, popular novels are not necessarily worse than elegant literature!
