Zhang Jinzhong 1983 was directly admitted to the Department of Chemistry of Fudan University in Shanghai from No.5 Middle School, and 1989 received his Ph.D. from Washington University in the United States. At present, he is a professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of California, Santa Cruz, director of graduate department, the world-famous SCI academic journal and the deputy editor-in-chief of the Physical Chemistry Journal of the American Chemical Society. He has long been engaged in the design, development, characterization and application of laser chemistry, nano-biochemistry and advanced materials. Its main achievements include the preparation of wavelength tunable laser, the assembly and application of gold nanoparticles, the luminescence characterization of quantum dots coupled with biomarkers in early cancer detection, new gold nanostructures and their application methods, liquid-core photonic crystal fiber sensors using surface-enhanced Raman scattering and their applications, quantum dot sensitized and nitrogen-doped titanium dioxide solar cells, HAuNS for cancer treatment, and functional films doped with nitrogen and quantum dot sensitized. At present, he has published papers (SCI) 1 16, as well as many special chapters, monographs and patents, and has been invited to give keynote speeches at international academic conferences for many times.
In addition to being a professor in famous American universities, Zhang Jinzhong was also employed as a part-time professor in some domestic universities, such as Nanyang Technological Institute and Nanjing University, and actively made suggestions for the scientific research of the motherland.
