Xu Jianguang, chief physician, doctor of medicine and doctoral supervisor of the Sixth People's Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University. At present, he is the director of spine surgery in Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital Orthopaedics and Shanghai Traumatic Orthopaedics Clinical Medical Center. He has been to spine surgery centers in Germany, France, Australia and the United States for further study. After returning to China, he has been engaged in clinical and scientific research work in spinal surgery, and is good at treating acute and chronic neck, shoulder, low back and leg pain and spinal cord injury caused by various reasons. At present, more than 3000 cases of various difficult spinal cord diseases have been successfully operated. He is good at treating various types of cervical spondylosis, cervical spinal stenosis, ossification of cervical posterior longitudinal ligament, ossification of thoracic ligamentum flavum, thoracolumbar spinal stenosis, lumbar disc herniation, lumbar spondylolisthesis, spinal fracture and dislocation, spinal cord injury, spine, spinal cord tumor's disease, spinal tuberculosis and severe scoliosis and kyphosis.
He has published more than 70 papers in various professional academic journals, participated in 4 academic monographs, completed 4 provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, won the third prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award 1, won 2 clinical medicine achievement awards from the Sixth People's Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University, and won 4 new technology and new projects awards, and made keynote speeches at various international and domestic academic conferences for many times. At present, he is a member of Minimally Invasive Group of Orthopedic Branch of Chinese Medical Association, member of Spinal Surgery Group of Orthopedic Branch of Shanghai Medical Association, chairman of the 5th China Orthopedic Society and Spinal Surgery Group, editorial board member of China Journal of Microsurgery, China Journal of Bone and Joint Injury, standing editorial board member of China Journal of Modern Chinese and Western Medicine, visiting editor of China Journal of Experimental Surgery and special correspondent of China Journal of Surgery.
