The creation has a long history, which contains "Qin Wei domain" and "Han is the palace". It was rebuilt in the 13th year of Kaiyuan in the Tang Dynasty (725) and expanded again in the 2nd year of Xiangfu in the Song Dynasty (1009). According to "Rebuilding Taiyue Temple Monument", there were 8 10 temples, sleeping halls, halls, closed doors, pavilions, libraries, museums, buildings, scenic spots, corridors and halls. Some buildings in the Jin Dynasty were destroyed, but they were rebuilt in the Yuan Dynasty. In the 26th year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty (1547), most of the buildings in the temple were burned down and repaired in Qing Dynasty. Daimiao City is full of high-rise buildings, temples are majestic, palaces overlap, and the weather is myriad. Dai Temple was built in the Han Dynasty, and by the time of the Tang Dynasty, there were already splendid halls and pavilions. In Song Zhenzong, when a large-scale meditation ceremony was held, the Tiangong was built, which was more extensive. Its architectural style adopts the royal Miyagi style, with a perimeter of 1.500 meters and more than 500 ancient buildings in the temple 1.500.

Dongyue Temple. Also known as Dongyue Palace, Dongyue Temple, Taishan Temple and Tianqi Temple, it is an important Dojo of Taoism. Dongyue Temple originated from the worship of Mount Tai. Later, after continuous spread, it developed into a belief that affected the whole country. After the Sui and Tang Dynasties, Dongyue Temple was built in almost all areas with Taishan belief, so there is a saying in history that Dongyue Temple is all over the world (Ming Xiaozong rebuilt Dongyue Temple Monument). With the strengthening of the protection of intangible culture and the attention paid to the declaration of intangible culture in Tai 'an, the study of folk culture in Tai 'an has become an inseparable part of the generalized Taishan culture, which is of great significance to the study of Dongyue Temple and Dongyue Temple Group in Taishan.

Taishan Dongyue Temple (Dai Temple) was founded in Han Dynasty, and it is the ancestral home of Taishan belief. It is with the worship of Mount Tai that palaces or shrines of Mount Tai gods have been built all over the country. History can be traced back to the Sui and Tang Dynasties, especially after the successful sealing of Mount Tai by Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, the first Taishan God was named "King of Heaven and Qi", which played an important role in promoting the construction of Dongyue Temple in China. Many inscriptions record that the Dongyue Temple built in counties and counties all over the country began in the prosperous Tang Dynasty. For example, Yuan's Notes on the Construction of Dongyue Palace in Changxing County said: "It has been salty since Fengchan County in Tang Dynasty."

The worship of Mount Tai was very popular in Zhao and Song Dynasties. After Song Zhenzong sealed Mount Tai and added Zen Emperor, the belief in Mount Tai gradually expanded, and Dongyue Temple was built everywhere. After three years of auspicious symbols in Dazhong (10 1 1), Song Zhenzong said: "The people of Jin Dynasty (though) prepare for steaming, it is rare to bow and pray. Now, they are willing to build a shrine for worship, which prompted the promulgation of the law. Lu Zhou, a poet in the Song Dynasty, said in his inscription for Dongyue Temple in Haiyan, "The emperor sealed the east, applied for the title of Emperor Yan to show great virtue, promised to answer, retired from the weather, and saved books, which is especially respected today, not mentioned by the temples." Emperor Zhao Shi never replaced Mount Tai, which promoted the progress and popularization of the worship of Dongyue Temple in North and South, and really developed into a national temple. Therefore, Dongyue Temple was a peak of development in Song Dynasty.

When Yuan and Mongolia entered Shanhaiguan, they inherited the tradition of worshipping this temple in Song Dynasty. Because of the vast territory of Yuan Dynasty, Dongyue Temple was more widely distributed. "Monument to Rebuild Dongyue Temple" (Puxian County, Shanxi Province) said: "Today's ancestral temples are all over the world, and there is no country or county. Although hundreds of families gather, they can worship in ten rooms."

In the early Ming Dynasty, the ritual system was changed, and Dongyue Temple was formally included in the "Rite" (Sacrifice in Minghui Temple), and it was combined with Shetan, Fengyun Thunderstorm Mountain Altar, Chenghuang Temple, Confucian Temple, Wang Guan Temple, Fire Temple and Mawang Temple to form an official ritual system, which was widely implemented in various counties. This system continued after the Qing Dynasty entered the Central Plains. As a result, almost all counties have formed the pattern of Dongyue Temple. Therefore, some researchers believe that the Ming and Qing Dynasties is another peak in the development history of Dongyue Temple, and the total number of temples around the country has far exceeded that of the Song and Yuan Dynasties.

Scholar Wang Keyu believes that Dongyue Temple has three regional characteristics. 1. The geographical spread of Dongyue Temple originated in today's Shandong. Yutai (now Shandong) Fujun Temple in Taishan recorded in Yuanhe County Records of the Tang Dynasty is the first Dongyue Temple recorded in official local chronicles. Since then, the worship of temple fairs gradually spread to northern counties, Henan, Hebei, Hedong and other places in the Tang Dynasty-that is, Dongyue Temple was built earlier in Shandong, Henan, Shanxi and Hebei. This area is also a traditional area of Taishan belief. As early as the Han Dynasty, the belief that Mount Tai was a god of death prevailed here.

Secondly, Dongyue Temple was built in the south of China almost at the same time as in the north, and some temples in the south began to build such temples, such as the Fujun Temple on Mount Tai in Shukou, which appeared at the latest in the late Tang Dynasty. In addition, some Dongyue temples in Jiangnan and central Fujian were also built in the Tang and Five Dynasties. However, the widespread prosperity of Dongyue Temple in the south began in the Song Dynasty. In particular, the southern crossing in the Song Dynasty promoted the worship of Dongyue in the south of the Yangtze River and made the south an important place of Taishan belief.

Third, the border areas of China. After the Song and Yuan Dynasties, with the development of the frontiers by successive dynasties, the worship of Dongyue Temple began to spread to all parts of the frontiers. Dongyue Temple was first built in South Mongolia in Yuan Dynasty. After the establishment of People's Republic of China (PRC) in Ming Dynasty, Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangxi, Ningxia and other places were successively incorporated into its territory, including the official sacrificial system of Dongyue Temple in these areas. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Nan Ming Zheng successfully recovered Taiwan Province Province, built Dongyue Temple in Tainan, and spread the worship of temple fairs to Taiwan Province Province. When the Qing court entered the customs, Manchu and Chinese cultures became more and more integrated, and Dongyue Temple was built in the northeast. Since then, the Qing dynasty pacified Xinjiang and other places, and the imperial edict was implemented in the border areas, which promoted the worship of Dongyue Temple to extend to these areas.

Red scale fish

Red scale fish is a unique treasure of Mount Tai, and it was a "tribute" of the imperial court in Qing Dynasty. Red scale fish grow in Taishan stream at an altitude of 270 meters to 800 meters, generally less than 20 cm long. It ranks as one of the "five famous fish" in China along with oil fish, bow fish, Huangyu in Qinghai Lake and shad in Fuchun River in Erhai Lake. Although the red scale fish is small in size, it is radiant and beautiful. Red scale fish is tender in meat, delicious in taste, less in thorns, odorless and high in nutritional value. The finished product has bright color and refreshing taste. Common famous dishes are: dry fried red scale fish, stir-fried red scale fish, phoenix-tailed red scale fish and so on.

tai'an pancake

Pancakes are famous snacks in Shandong, but the pancakes in Taishan are more distinctive. The pancakes in Mount Tai are different from those in other places in Shandong. First, the main raw material is millet or corn, and the top grade is millet. Second, there is a fermentation process before Taishan pancake processing. Third, Taishan pancakes are as thin as cicadas' wings and almost transparent. Pancakes taste slightly sour, soft and delicious. Pancakes became a common occurrence in Tai 'an at the latest in Ming Dynasty. Snacks based on pancakes include oil pancakes (pancakes baked with scallion oil, tofu or cabbage) and sugar crispy pancakes (pancakes baked with millet flour and white sugar). Pancakes and green onions are popular foods known to women and children in the streets.

Mural legend

Song Zhenzong was very happy after he closed the Taishan Temple. In order to thank the Book of Heaven, we decided to build the Temple of Heaven under Mount Tai, and painted a huge mural on the inner wall of the temple to show the grand occasion of Mount Tai's god tour.

After receiving the order, Tai 'an county magistrate carefully organized the construction, and the hall was soon built. However, the murals in the temple made him do his best. At that time, the county magistrate summoned all the famous painters nearby and asked them to design a draft for the emperor's approval. As a result, it was sent five or six times, but Zhenzong was still dissatisfied and ordered that if the painting was not designed within ten days, the county magistrate would blame it.

The county magistrate wanted to make great contributions by building the main hall, so that he could be promoted to be a big official, but he didn't want to make the emperor angry. Seeing that his promotion was going to be ruined, he was very angry, so he took it out on the painter and ordered that if he could not draw a painting satisfactory to the emperor within five days, he would hit the eighty boards again and be put to death.

The judge flew into a rage in court and went home. When his wife saw his sad face, she knew she was in trouble again After asking the Qingyuan Committee, she said to the magistrate, "Your Excellency is really confused. If you put all those painters on death row, do you still want to live? "

"What do you mean?" The magistrate asked nervously.

"Do you think, if these painters are on death row, who will the master invite to design the drawings? In my humble opinion, painting needs aura. If you treat them so rudely, how can they draw? It is better to treat them with courtesy, give them good food and drink, and let them paint with peace of mind, which may help the master get through this. "

Hearing this, the county magistrate also felt reasonable, so he ordered people to entertain the painter with wine and meat and serve him carefully.

It is said that those painters just want to paint. They didn't draw well, so the emperor Lao Zi blamed them and lost his life. He was scared to death long ago. Who can safely draw? Just as they were cornered, the wife of the county magistrate sent a message: "Don't the emperor think your painting is not imposing enough?" You all saw it when the emperor came to worship Zen. According to that scene, the emperor was satisfied. "In a word, reminded the painters, made overnight, and sent the manuscript to the county magistrate the next day. The county magistrate dedicated it to Song Zhenzong, and it really won the favor of the emperor. Therefore, Dai Temple has such magnificent murals.

Daimiao Stone Workshop was founded by Shandong Buzheng Shi Tianye in the 11th year of Qing Emperor Kangxi (AD 1672). Height 12m, width 9.8m, depth 3m, overall slightly square, four columns and three doors. Square three, heavy beam and four columns. Up close, almost all stone workshops are decorated with stone carvings. From the roof of Shifang, the arches and beams under the eaves, to the drum-hugging stones on both sides of the pillars and the pedestal under Shifang, there are various relief patterns, including eight stone lions, and the four pillars are carved with "Feng Dan facing the sun", "Two dragons playing with pearls", "cranes making lotus", "unconstrained style" and "Kirin giving treasure" in different postures.

The whole stone workshop has a unique shape and exquisite carving, which is a treasure in the stone carving art of Qing Dynasty. The south and north sides of the square column are engraved with couplets, and the south side is inscribed with stones, "Finally, heaven, praise the body and give birth to everything;" The emperor was shocked, and the town of Hesheng Zhuoling was in the east. "In the north, Zhao Xiangxing, governor of Shandong Province and assistant minister of the Ministry of War, wrote," How can all ethnic groups be respected for their unity? "Mixed with the soul of the group, Kyushu is on standby to swing in Beijing?" . The two couplets are inspiring, moving the whole body, and highly summarizing the lofty status of Mount Tai and the prominent prestige of Mount Tai God, which makes people feel admired without entering Dai Temple.
