Writing graduation thesis for English majors aims at practicality, and everything starts from reality. The first chapter introduces the basic knowledge of graduation thesis writing for English majors, including selecting topics, determining topics, collecting data, analyzing data, drafting a bibliography, conceiving and drafting an outline of the thesis, drafting a draft, finalizing it, writing an opening report and defending the thesis. The second chapter is divided into five topics: British and American literature, translation theory and practice, English language, language culture and English teaching methods, and introduces the ideas and essentials of graduation thesis writing in these fields respectively. Writing a graduation thesis should not only meet the standards of graduation thesis, but also pay attention to certain methods and skills, and also require considerable professional knowledge. Textbooks in general institutions of higher learning, especially the history of British and American literature, selected reading of British and American literature and translation textbooks, provide limited knowledge. In view of this situation, we summarize some professional knowledge in these research fields into five topics: literature, language, translation, culture and teaching methods, and provide some paper topics and related bibliography. Thesis topics provided by graduation thesis writing for English majors can be chosen by the students who write their graduation thesis, or they can refer to the styles and ideas of these topics to formulate a thesis topic that is more suitable for them, or they can be used as writing exercises.
