As a young engineer, he contributed to the progress of metallurgical technology and the improvement of economic and social benefits of enterprises with good professional ethics, rigorous scientific attitude and positive dedication.

1. 2. Major technical achievements in recent years: (1) 9 national inventions and utility model patents were obtained, including "a clean steel containing barium and its production method", "a bearing steel containing microalloyed barium" and "slag-free tapping converter". (2) Mainly participated in "Ultra-fine Grain Strengthening and Control Technology of Low Carbon Ferrite/Pearlite Steel" and won the special prize of China Metallurgical Science and Technology in 2004; (3) The refining technology of low-aluminum clean steel with independent intellectual property rights has been fully promoted in enterprises such as special steel of Huaigang, making the oxygen content of steel reach the level of vacuum-treated steel, and the cost is lower than that of vacuum-treated steel by more than 100 yuan/ton; (4) Systematically study and tackle key problems of special steel continuous casting technology, form special steel continuous casting system technology, and make special steel continuous casting technologies such as Huaigang Special Steel and Xingcheng Special Steel reach the domestic leading level; (5) On the basis of patents such as "A clean steel containing barium and its production method", "A bearing steel containing barium microalloyed" and "Slag-free tapping converter", the optimized process of producing special steel by converter was put forward, the key technology and industrialization of the major scientific and technological achievements transformation project in Jiangsu Province "The first special steel for converter in China" were completed, and the first large bar production line of special steel for converter with independent intellectual property rights in China was developed. 3. Benefits in recent years: Through the combination of production, learning and research, the research results are combined with production practice in time, which has made outstanding contributions to the adjustment of enterprise variety structure, optimization of technology and cost reduction. Through the popularization and application of scientific research results and technical development, the EAF production line and converter plant of Huaigang have realized the production of 100% special steel and 100% high-quality steel respectively. At present, he has presided over the development of high value-added new varieties 192, represented by SAE4 145H, 25MnCrNiMoA, 12Cr 1MoVG, etc. The cumulative output is 2.354 million tons, the new benefit is 286 million yuan, and the foreign exchange earned is 50.74 million US dollars, making Jiangsu Huaigang, located in northern Jiangsu, a special steel enterprise in the world. At the same time, the technical problems such as low elongation of large-size spring steel, nodulation of aluminum-containing steel continuous casting nozzle and billet continuous casting bearing steel are solved.

In order to improve the technological innovation ability of enterprises, the postdoctoral workstation of Huaigang in Iron and Steel Research Institute was established and approved by the Ministry of Personnel as the national postdoctoral workstation. At the same time, we have established strategic cooperative relations and key Industry-University-Research bases with Northeastern University, Jiangsu University, Huaiyin Institute of Technology and other universities and research institutes. At present, the work of introducing the world-famous special steel enterprise Sideno R&D Center is under way, which creates conditions for establishing an open R&D platform.

Key points of scientific discovery, technological innovation or technology popularization

The key points of technological innovation and popularization are as follows:

1. The refining technology of low-aluminum clean steel based on barium alloy treatment with independent intellectual property rights was developed, which significantly improved the cleanliness of steel and reduced the production cost.

Aiming at the harm of Al2O3 inclusions produced by aluminum deoxidation to steel and its influence on continuous casting production, barium has stronger deoxidation ability than aluminum, which can change the properties and shapes of carbides and nonmetallic inclusions in steel, strengthen grain boundaries and improve the strength and toughness of steel. The refining technology of low aluminum clean steel has been developed, and four patents have been applied for "a bearing steel refining process treated with barium alloy", "a one-step process for producing Si-Ca-Al-Ba-Fe alloy by submerged arc furnace", "a clean steel containing barium and its production method" and "barium microalloyed bearing steel". At present, the technology has been fully promoted in Xining Special Steel, Yongtong Special Steel and Jiangsu Huaigang. By adopting this technology, the following effects are obtained:

(1) By barium alloy treatment, the brittle oxide inclusions mainly composed of Al2O3 in steel are transformed into fine and uniform plastic inclusions, and the proportion of Al2O3 in oxide inclusions is less than 40%, which significantly improves the cleanliness of steel and the strength and toughness of steel.

(2) The oxygen content of bearing steel, spring steel and gear steel is kept below 10 ppm and 15 ppm under non-vacuum condition, which achieves the same deoxidation effect as vacuum treatment, but compared with vacuum treatment, the cost per ton of steel is reduced by 120 yuan.

(3) The fatigue life of materials is increased by more than 20%. For example, the fatigue life of bearing steel with 8ppm oxygen content produced by this technology is 63.5% higher than that of steel with the same oxygen content only treated by vacuum aluminum.

(4) Reducing Al2O3 inclusions in steel and denaturing the residual inclusions into composite inclusions with low melting point are beneficial to eliminate the nodulation of continuous casting nozzle.

2. Systematic research and development of special steel continuous casting technology, forming special steel continuous casting system technology.

Aiming at the requirements of cleanliness, composition and microstructure uniformity and fine grain size of special steel, the continuous casting system technology of special steel was developed.

(1) The low-aluminum clean steel refining technology is adopted to improve the cleanliness of molten steel, modify inclusions and create conditions for low superheat casting.

(2) Large capacity tundish and optimized tundish structure are adopted for continuous casting to prolong the residence time of molten steel in tundish and promote the floating and discharging of large particle inclusions; On the basis of conventional protective pouring technology, the following measures were taken: ① Before pouring, inert gas was filled into the tundish to remove air and reduce the oxygen concentration in the tundish; (2) The upper edge of the tundish and the periphery of the ladle cover adopt water cooling structure to prevent the deformation of the ladle cover caused by thermal stress during casting and air from entering the tundish; (3) ladle slag detection and steel retention operations are used to prevent refined slag from entering the tundish; (4) Adopt automatic liquid level control to stabilize the liquid level of crystallizer and prevent slag entrapment or leakage accident during casting; ⑤ According to the characteristics of steel, the mold flux is selected to absorb the inclusions in steel, which plays a good role in lubrication and uniform heat conduction.

(3) According to the characteristics of steel grade and slab section, the billet is electromagnetically stirred by using the built-in crystallizer; The billet adopts the electromagnetic stirring technology of the external crystallizer across the foot roll section and the composite electromagnetic stirring technology at the end of secondary cooling solidification.

(4) Weak cooling process is adopted for bloom continuous casting. Weak cooling is not only to reduce the specific water volume, but more importantly, to allocate the specific water volume reasonably according to the characteristics of steel grades; The billet adopts strong cooling process.

3. In order to solve the problem that slag can't be avoided when smelting special steel by converter, a slag-free tapping converter was developed and applied for a patent, and the optimized process of producing special steel by converter method was put forward. This project was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission in June, 2005, and received the special research grant150,000 yuan from the major scientific and technological achievements transformation project of Jiangsu Science and Technology Department. On March 2, 2008, the project passed the acceptance organized by the Science and Technology Department of Jiangsu Province, and the first domestic converter production line with independent intellectual property rights was built in Huaigang, and the project won the second prize of metallurgical science and technology progress.
