What is reading?
Reading expression refers to the reader's ability to express or convey the content of an article or work in his own language.

Reading expression is closely related to reading comprehension, reading memory, reading appreciation and other abilities, which is their comprehensive application and also cultivates the embryonic form of using language to communicate ideas. Reading expression can be divided into oral expression and written expression. Oral expression refers to oral retelling, explanation or comment on the contents of reading materials.

Modern reading in college entrance examination is divided into three parts: expository reading, literary reading and practical reading. The discussion paper focuses on objective questions and pays attention to students' ability to screen and integrate information, thus reflecting the overall grasp and partial understanding of the text content. Both practical writing and literary texts focus on subjective topics, but practical writing focuses on information extraction, concept analysis, meaning generalization, value judgment, writing intention and so on.

Literary texts focus on understanding sentences, grasping structure, summarizing themes, appreciating images and evaluating expression techniques. Judging from the characteristics of question types, the text is closed and the answer is unique. The answers of practical and literary texts are relatively open and divergent, and students are encouraged to answer from multiple angles, which is reasonable and divided. Therefore, the original author can't "understand" the situation of his own article, which generally appears in the latter two types of texts.
