What does it mean to be a teacher?
This sentence comes from an argumentative essay "Shi Shuo" by Han Yu, a writer in the Tang Dynasty, which means that some (words in the book) learn from the teacher, and some (doubts about the truth) don't ask the teacher for advice.

The original sentence is: I don't know the sentence, I don't understand, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know.

I can't understand the words in the book, and I can't solve the big doubts. Some (words in the book) learn from the teacher, some (big questions) don't ask the teacher, learn from small aspects, and give up (don't learn) in big places. I don't think this is wise.

It satirizes the attitude of learning from teachers and the necessity and importance of learning from teachers. Learning is comprehensive and should not be a part of learning, which is extremely unwise.
