Yi people's Qin Yue materials
Because Qin Yue plays an important role in the rich and colorful cultural life of the Yi people, the production of Qin Yue pays special attention to material selection and decoration. Yueqin is first made of superior nanmu, and the top is carved with a beaded faucet, which is high and upward. Longkou is hung with dragon whiskers and decorated with colorful pompoms. The whole faucet is particularly solemn and majestic. There are two woodcut tuning strings on the waist below the faucet, which can adjust the tightness of the strings. According to the needs of different tones, the strings are divided into multiple segments, and various tones from bottom to top can be played on different segments. The music is crisp and bright, and some are low and euphemistic. Yueqin boxes are generally round, hexagonal and pear-shaped. The panel of the box is luxuriantly decorated, some are carved with dragons, some with phoenixes, and some with hollowed-out national patterns. There is a large round mirror in the center of the panel, and some small round or square mirrors are inlaid around the panel, which is related to the worship of the sun by the Yi people. Qin Yue has four strings on his waist. The whole Qin Yue looks like a small mouth, with exquisite workmanship, numerous patterns and wonderful timbre, which can be called exquisite handicrafts.
