Investigation time: March 2006 16, 15: 30 —— 15: 30.
Survey location: intersection of downtown road and Jincheng road
Objective: Who obeys the traffic rules better, pedestrians or motor vehicles?
Investigator: Xu Tianxing Wang.
Survey method: 30 minutes time.
Typical examples of pedestrian violations:
We first interviewed an uncle who ran a red light and asked him politely if he knew anything about traffic. He said kindly, "I know a little." I ran a red light because I had something to do. Please don't bother me! " "Say that finish, he left in a hurry. Later, we interviewed several people and summed up the following main reasons for running a red light: in order to hurry; Pupils are playful; Joe said he had something important to do; Do not want to wait, knowingly commit a crime ...
Typical examples of motor vehicle violation:
We also counted illegal motor vehicles, most of which were minibuses and tool vehicles. During the investigation, the license plate number of a cement truck was covered by the cement flowing out, so it was natural to run a red light directly, regardless of whether there were pedestrians on the zebra crossing or not, and the existence of electronic police was ignored, which was very prone to traffic accidents.

Survey statistics:
Survey results: Motor vehicles in Xiaoshan obey traffic rules better than pedestrians.
Survey summary:
It is very common for pedestrians to violate traffic rules, mainly because everyone's luck is more than safety awareness. Although there are usually no serious casualties, there are serious security risks, and the possibility of no casualties cannot be ruled out at any time. Therefore, we should strengthen the publicity and education of pedestrian traffic rules, increase penalties and correct pedestrians' bad traffic awareness. Of course, motor vehicles are not easy to sit back and relax, especially drivers with low safety awareness, which should be paid more attention to. After all, others are different from you. "Care for life and travel safely" Please take responsibility for your own life, consider the happiness of others and establish a good sense of security!
Internship experience
First of all, our professionals get together and listen to the teacher explain the contents of the internship and the matters that should be paid attention to in the internship. First of all, we defined the internship tasks. Under the leadership of Teacher Guo, we visited the interchange organization between Fuzhou South Expressway Toll Station and Bay Bridge. Next, each group member finds the three-way intersection and four-way intersection with signal lights that they need to investigate. The situation of each group is different, and the vehicle distribution is investigated by point sampling method and parking line method respectively.
Next, I'll talk about visiting the expressway toll station and the Bay Bridge. After we arrived at the toll booth together, we first learned that the entrance was divided into non-stop toll lane, automatic card issuing lane and weight charging lane under the teacher's explanation. Among them, electronic toll lanes 1 lane, 3 automatic card issuing lanes and weighing toll lanes 1 lane. When the electronic toll lane passes, the speed should be limited to 20 kilometers per hour, and the distance between cars should be kept to ensure safety. When entering the toll booth, follow certain traffic rules and don't rush in. The monitoring system of toll station is also helpful to observe the driving order of vehicles entering and leaving the toll station and provide powerful information for solving traffic accidents here. Although I have been to the toll station of the expressway before, I have not carefully observed the composition of the toll station and how the vehicles charge. Through this observation, we know the basic composition, matters needing attention when entering the toll station, and how to pass the toll station quickly and safely, which is also a practical problem in our life. have
Some people will cause a series of accidents because they are impatient to wait at the toll booth. This observation is very helpful for us to integrate theory with practice. We should go out more and observe more.
After observing the expressway toll station, we went to the Bay Bridge, where we observed the organization form of the interchange and the route of vehicles entering and leaving the interchange. At first, we didn't know the situation, and we didn't know how the vehicles got on and off. The overpass was originally built to solve the problem that there are too many vehicles at the intersection and it is easy to cause traffic accidents.
However, if you can't know the direction of traffic flow well, you won't know how to get on the interchange, and traffic accidents are likely to occur, causing unnecessary casualties and property losses. After we get off the bus, observe the direction of traffic under the overpass and how to get on and off the overpass. The actual direction map of overpass can only be drawn by observing all directions. I observed that vehicles from south to west of this overpass need to use the overpass to merge the traffic from east to west, and vehicles from east to south need to use the overpass to merge the traffic from north to south, in order to play the role of this overpass well. This overpass is divided into three floors. The bottom floor can be used by vehicles from north to west and vehicles from north to east. Vehicles from south to west need to transition from the second floor to the third floor, and vehicles from east to west need to transition from the third floor to the second floor. The existence of overpass was originally to solve the probability of traffic jams and traffic accidents. We should learn to use overpass correctly and give full play to its advantages.
Through the observation of these two places, it is helpful for us to understand the expressway toll stations and overpasses. The next practice is to investigate the intersection delay and capacity of No.3 and No.4. After group discussion and distribution, the location of two intersections and when to start the investigation were determined. Because everyone is inexperienced for the first time, we are in great trouble. The car counting method is different and the departure time is inconsistent, which leads us to start observation again. When the investigation is delayed, there must be four people at the intersection in each direction. Every 15 seconds, one person is responsible for timing, one person is responsible for counting the number of stops, one person is responsible for counting the number of non-stop times, and one person is responsible for counting the vehicles parked behind the stop line. When investigating the traffic capacity, it is necessary to count the motor vehicles and non-motor vehicles in the left, right and straight lanes. Motor vehicles are divided into large cars and small cars. After several failures, we finally made great progress and completed the investigation of all the data.
Generally speaking, this internship lasted for one and a half days, and everyone was able to gain something from it and learn about various transportation facilities and
The difference between theory and practice is also of great help to our future work.
Through this internship, we can have a comprehensive application opportunity for the newly learned traffic investigation knowledge, and also better consolidate theoretical teaching knowledge, improve practical operation skills, and get further sublimation in the combination of theoretical knowledge and practice. At the same time, in this internship, I once again realized the importance of team spirit. Everyone's carelessness will directly affect the progress of the internship. To complete the internship, it is far from enough to rely solely on personal strength and efforts. Only when the team members are United can the internship be completed quickly and efficiently. This internship has cultivated our group's ability of division of labor and cooperation, and also enhanced the friendship between students. In this internship, every member of our group has made 120% efforts to complete this internship task, not seeking the best, but seeking to learn knowledge better.
On June 2 1 day, under the guidance of our teacher, we came to Fuzhou South Expressway Toll Station and visited and studied the expressway toll collection system. Under the teacher's answer, I probably learned that there are different types of expressways, and tolls are charged according to the weight class and mileage. The charging method of toll station is quite different from the manual charging I imagined. The toll station adopts semi-intelligent manual punching and intelligent automatic induction charging (ETC). In addition, we also learned about overload punishment and other related knowledge. After that, we took the school bus to visit the Bay overpass.
After the preparation before the practice, we investigated the delay and traffic capacity of the newly-built three-way intersection on the morning of July 2, and went to Liaoyuan on July 4 to investigate the traffic capacity and delay of the four-way intersection. This survey, we have a deeper understanding of the survey methods, and quickly completed the task.
Many problems can always be found in practice and also exist in this investigation and practice. In the process of completing the task, we will inevitably encounter some difficulties. Reality is generally more complicated than theory. At the beginning of the investigation, there were several mistakes and we had to start again, which delayed a lot of time and missed the peak hours. In addition, there are differences in the division of vehicles. Should motorcycles row motor vehicles or non-motor vehicles? Therefore, we must master excellent basic theoretical knowledge, and each team member should practice it in person, with a clear division of labor, and cooperate to complete a job.
As the leader of the second group, I think it is very important to choose the measuring point. The quality of measuring points determines the speed and quality of measurement. I went to the survey site in advance to find Jianxin Sanjiao and Liaoyuan Sijiao. The vehicles here are relatively inconvenient to investigate. Preparation is very important. If you start the investigation before you are ready, you will fall into a huge blind misunderstanding, which will eventually lead to disorder and failure. In this internship, our group held a meeting first, and decided to divide 16 into four groups with four people in each group. We discussed the specific contents and methods of the survey and drew a data table.
Through this internship, I learned a lot, but at the same time I encountered many problems. I summarized them. It is hoped that more investigation tools can be added in the future practice, so that each group can have a complete set of tools, update the investigation methods and use advanced instruments and equipment to conduct traffic investigations; I hope that there will be specific teachers to make overall arrangements, explain various matters and have specific guidance;
Through practice, I learned a lot of real things, learned things that I couldn't do in class, greatly improved my hands-on ability, thinking ability and drawing ability, and also expanded my communication and cooperation ability with my classmates. This time, I understand the meaning of responsibility. Although there will be some pressure when I am the team leader, I still insist on completing the essential work. Even in the case of physical discomfort, this exercise has strengthened my perseverance and made me know more about the class Committee. This internship and surveying and mapping internship have come together. How can we do a good job in traffic engineering practice without delaying surveying and mapping practice, so that everyone can go home smoothly? This became a problem that I often thought about in those days, and in the process of writing the final report, thanks to the help of the team members, the report was successfully completed. To complete an internship completely, it is far from enough to rely on one person's strength and conception. Only the cooperation and unity of the group can make the internship complete quickly and efficiently.
One day, our group investigated the capacity and delay of Sanchakou Road, and the location was Jianxin Road. The whole group will arrive at the intersection at 8:30, and divide into groups. First, start the traffic delay investigation. Our team is in charge of the north entrance. I am personally responsible for recording non-stop vehicles with a cycle of 60s. One person is responsible for timing, one person is responsible for the number of stops at 0s, 15s, 30s and 45s, and one person is responsible for the number of stops. Three groups began to record in chorus, and one recorded fifteen cycles. Then the road capacity survey is carried out. Capacity can be divided into left turn, right turn and straight line. It is also divided into motor vehicles and non-motor vehicles. This time it's a 70' s cycle. After the division of labor was completed, the three groups began to record in chorus.
During the investigation, I still encountered many problems. First of all, the delay survey was conducted during peak hours. Because we were delayed on the way, the rush hour was almost over when we started the investigation. So there are some errors in the data. In addition, the preliminary work was not done well, and the record was wrong three times, which delayed a lot of time. When the traffic capacity is adjusted, there are differences because of whether the motorcycle is a motor vehicle. As a result, everyone agreed to record the motorcycle separately and discuss it later. When recording, some motor vehicles were not driving in the driveway, but driving in the pedestrian lane, so that several motor vehicles were missed. There are also some non-motor vehicles that do not follow the regular route, such as; After turning left, another motor vehicle went straight. These phenomena were recorded incorrectly. There is also a back door of the villa area at the end of the fork in our investigation site. There are not many vehicles in and out, but there are also a few vehicles in and out, which is a bit troublesome to record.
Therefore, in the investigation, we should do a good job in the preliminary work. The location should be chosen, the time should be grasped accurately and the organization should be active. In the investigation, we should treat special circumstances and learn to improvise and deal with unexpected situations. The most important thing is to apply our classroom knowledge to practice and consolidate our knowledge.
The next day, we investigated the delay and capacity of Liaoyuan No.4 intersection. This time, the whole group arrived at the investigation site at 8 o'clock. As everyone is very skilled, the delay investigation will start soon. This time, our team is in charge of the north entrance. This time it was during the rush hour, so there were many cars parked and there were some errors in the records, but few cars didn't stop. The survey was conducted on a 15 cycle, and this time the data is very regular.
Then we conducted a survey of road capacity, because it is still in the peak period and it is a four-way intersection. The traffic is so heavy that it is difficult to record. This time 100 is a cycle, and 15 cycles are carried out.
There are still many problems in the traffic capacity survey! First of all, there are so many vehicles that it is difficult to count them clearly. In addition, buses block the line of sight and ignore many small vehicles. There is also a medium-sized vehicle, which is not easy to distinguish, resulting in errors in the data. Also, when the investigation was delayed, there were so many vehicles in line that it was difficult to tell which one had driven through the parking line without stopping at first.
Therefore, in the investigation of the four-way intersection, we should have more people and cooperate with each other tacitly to reduce the data error. This traffic engineering internship can be said to be quite smooth. Although there were many difficulties during this period, we solved them. This internship not only enabled us to master knowledge, but more importantly, combined practice, application and practice, and truly realized the difference between practice and theory.
In order to let us better understand and use the knowledge in the textbook, we should practice our professional knowledge in advance. We spent a few days before and after the exam, visiting toll stations, Bay Bridge and Jianxin Liaoyuan intersection to investigate the traffic situation. Through this internship, we have a deeper understanding of urban toll stations and overpasses; By investigating the traffic volume of road sections and intersections, we have a practical understanding of the vehicle distribution at intersections.
First, we visited the expressway toll station and the Bay Bridge under the guidance of our teacher. After arriving at the toll booth, the teacher first explained the classification of the entrance, which was divided into non-stop toll lanes, automatic card issuing lanes and weighing truck toll lanes. Among them, electronic toll lanes 1 lane, 3 automatic card issuing lanes and weighing toll lanes 1 lane. When passing through the electronic toll lane, the speed should be less than 20km/h, and the distance between vehicles should be kept to ensure safety.
Then we visited the Bay Bridge, where we observed the organizational form of the interchange and the route for vehicles to get on and off. After we get off, observe the direction of traffic and how to get on and off the overpass. This overpass is divided into three layers. The ground floor can be used for vehicles from north to west and vehicles from north to east.
On July 2, 20 12, a group of us went to build a new fork in the road at 8 am. Take 60s as a cycle, measure the stopping times of 15s, 30s, 45s and 60s, and count the stopping times and non-stopping times per minute. The number of straight, left and right vehicles is measured in 70s, and the vehicles are counted separately, *** 15 cycle. At the beginning, it was not very good at measuring, but it was delayed for a long time and the measurement was wrong, so everyone re-measured it and thoroughly learned the method of measuring traffic capacity. Members go to investigate the capacity and delay of signalized intersections together.
On July 4th, we came to Sitong Road near Liaoyuan. Our students 16 are divided into four groups on average to investigate the traffic delay and capacity at intersections. I am responsible for counting the number of non-stop and left-turn cars on the main road. Through two investigations, the concept and calculation of intersection delay and the understanding of intersection capacity have been further understood. In a word, this internship has made me realize a lot, and also made me realize the difference between various transportation facilities and theory and practice, which is also of great help to our future work.
On June 2 1 day, Mr. Guo led us to take the school bus from the Third Ring Road near the west gate of the school. On the way, the teacher explained to us what we learned in class and some things that were not in books, which made me have a further understanding of the theoretical knowledge in class and made the knowledge in class more solid. I learned about all kinds of traffic signs and markings along the way. The Third Ring Road mainly uses footbridges to let pedestrians cross the street. However, I think it is unreasonable that the distance between two adjacent footbridges is too far, which makes it inconvenient for pedestrians to cross the road. Then we arrived at Fuzhou South Railway Station. We visited the toll standard of expressway and the principle of electronic toll collection system. We also learned about vehicle parking fees and non-parking fees. Finally, we went to the Bay Bridge and observed the flow direction of the overpass and the lanes. I think it is unreasonable that there are too many words on the signs and markings, which will make drivers fidgety and easily cause traffic accidents. I think it is reasonable to divert traffic mainly around the island under the overpass. See the attached drawings for the plan of Fuzhou Bay overpass.
On July 2nd, our group went to Jianxin Sanjiaokou for an internship. It was the morning rush hour when we arrived near Jianxin Bus Station in Cangshan District, Fuzhou. We divided into three groups and observed at the fork in the road. First of all, we conducted an intersection delay survey. Each group has a timekeeper and three observers. I am mainly responsible for recording the times of non-stop operation, with a period of 60 seconds. The timekeeper starts to shout once, and then shouts again at15s, 30s, 40s and 60s. At the same time, the team members record the vehicles that stop in front of the stop line every moment, and the vehicles are divided into large, medium and small. Record the number of stops and non-stop times every other cycle (that is, one minute). At first, because some team members didn't understand the internship task correctly, we re-observed the records. Only the team leader and Qi Xin, a member of each group, can work smoothly. We recorded fifteen cycles, which are continuous records, and there can be no intervals. Then we conducted a survey of road capacity. We record it once according to a signal period of the three-way intersection. Mainly observe every imported motor vehicle and non-motor vehicle that goes straight, turns left and turns right. Among them, large, medium and small motor vehicles should be recorded. Non-motor vehicles mainly record bicycles and electric vehicles. I am mainly responsible for right-turn non-motor vehicles on secondary roads. In observation, sometimes it is too late to record or there are omissions and errors when recording. We recorded the data of group 14. Then put the data of each group together. This approach of fork in the road requires not only the coordinated work of each group, but also the reasonable and clear assignment of tasks by the team leader. Through this internship, I learned the investigation method of delay in controlling intersections and the experimental method of calculating road capacity. Only by combining theory with practice can I better understand what I have learned in class and accumulate some experience for my future work.
On the morning of July 4th, our group arrived at Liaoyuan Station to investigate the fork in the road. At about 7: 30, we arrived at Liaoyuan Station by bus No.85, and there is a four-way intersection controlled by signals nearby. The grouping situation is roughly the same as that of the three-way intersection. There are four people in each group, one timekeeper and three observation and recording personnel. We still record 0 seconds, 15 seconds and 30 seconds respectively. For vehicles that stop for 45 seconds immediately before the stop line, record the number of stops and non-stops every minute. Record 15 sets of data. When investigating the road capacity, the left, right and straight motor vehicles and non-motor vehicles should be recorded at the same time. The delay investigation record of the same intersection should record the number of large, medium and small vehicles. When investigating road capacity, large, medium and small motor vehicles should also be recorded. Because the signal periods of the two intersections are different, we take the period of 100 second and record it once every 100 second, which records about 12 sets of data. During the observation, due to the last delay at the fork road junction and the accumulation of experience in road capacity, this internship is progressing smoothly.
After the internship investigation, the data should be processed. , mainly used for signal control of three-way intersection and four-way intersection peak hour delay. When calculating the road capacity, we should pay attention to the conversion of motor vehicles to standard vehicles, and the conversion coefficient of non-motor vehicles can refer to the relevant data in textbooks. Data processing of traffic volume investigation and capacity analysis of straight, left and right turns at intersections.
The practice of this course is an important practical link and supplement of traffic engineering theory teaching. Through the practice of this course, we can deepen our understanding and master the knowledge learned in theoretical teaching. Grasp the general principles, methods and steps of traffic investigation correctly, and cultivate your own hands-on ability and ability to solve practical problems. I hope that the practice of traffic engineering can be increased a little, and we should not only know the theoretical knowledge but ignore the practical operation ability. I think this internship has laid a solid foundation for the knowledge learned in class and made better use of theoretical knowledge. Only in practice can we gain true knowledge.
Traffic jams occur in every big city. Traffic congestion is an inevitable problem in modern cities. Whether it is Beijing, Shanghai or Chengdu, as long as the cities are big and have a large population, it is impossible not to get stuck in traffic jams.
As we all know, China is a populous country with a large urban population base, which is a common problem in China. With the improvement of the quality of life and the popularity of automobiles, more and more people own their own private cars, which is the most important reason for the traffic congestion in Guiyang. With office workers going to work, crowded people lead to slow traffic jams, and the increase in traffic volume also reflects the pressure of road replacement, which is easy to be destroyed. Road reconstruction is also the cause of traffic congestion. Some people don't obey the traffic order, taxis stop to carry passengers, cars arrive at the station out of order, traffic accidents and so on are all important reasons leading to traffic jams.
If any traffic participant (pedestrians, drivers, etc. As a topic, most readers will first consider how to drive faster. However, if you want to drive faster, the best way is to build roads, so Guiyang has been planning roads, and the typical one is Huayi Road from Huaxi to Guiyang. Now, this road is being changed. If the bus goes from Da Gui to Guiyang, the probability of traffic jam is about 70%. Road widening and repairing is only a way to quench thirst, because road widening can't keep up with the growth of vehicles.
Recently, whether the fountain around the island is demolished has become the focus of hot discussion. In fact, I personally think that it is not these so-called bypass roads that cause traffic jams, but the extremely unscientific traffic management methods in Guiyang.
First of all, roads are not a problem.
As we all know, the roads in Hong Kong are extremely narrow and there are many cars. However, the traffic jam in Hong Kong is not serious. On the one hand, the people are of high quality and abide by the rules. On the one hand, the system of relevant departments is reasonable and the management is scientific and lasting. Therefore, to solve the traffic congestion in Guiyang, we must first re-examine whether the existing traffic planning and actual traffic management are scientific, reasonable and lasting.
Second, traffic lights are a problem.
There are more and more cars in Guiyang, and the traffic is getting more and more crowded. Under such circumstances, many intersections in Guiyang use "four sides in turn", and each side only passes for 30 seconds, but for this 30 seconds, vehicles have to wait 1.5 minutes. When there are many cars, this 30 seconds is only enough for the first ten cars to start and barely start. As a result, more and more cars are piled up in the waiting lane. To solve this problem, we should consider the setting of the time and direction of the turning lane more scientifically. For example, when passing, some sections use both left-turn lanes and straight lanes. In order to avoid traffic jams, we can only "take turns to pass on all sides". Therefore, further research should be done here to make the four sides pass in turn into "stopping in a straight line", and at the same time, the change time of traffic lights should be adjusted. In addition, whether it is necessary to set up traffic lights around the island is also worth discussing. In fact, removing the traffic lights around the island and strengthening the artificial guidance around the island may make the road smooth. This method adopted by cities around the island in downtown Xi is worth learning from.
Third, scientific and strict traffic management.
Some drivers in Guiyang have low quality. In many cases, as long as there is no traffic police, some straight cars often occupy the turning lane and block the intersection, which leads to the situation that there are many cars in this lane. Moreover, the traffic police sometimes do not strengthen supervision in this respect, but pay more attention to the opportunity of being fined.
Fourth, the quality of the traffic police needs to be improved.
Many traffic policemen always like to play privileged games when managing traffic. Park a motorcycle or car in the middle of the road. Some overbearing traffic police also parked their cars in the middle of the road, so that the left and right sides each occupied a lane, making the already crowded road more crowded. In order not to be crowded by them, the driver can only be too angry to speak.
Five, passers-by jaywalking
Guiyang has always neglected the management of pedestrians and allowed pedestrians to cross the road indiscriminately, which is also an important reason for traffic congestion. After all, co-management is also a vulnerable group, and excessive management can easily lead to fights. Therefore, the traffic police should strengthen the management of pedestrians while managing automobile traffic. At the same time, Guiyang should also introduce more stringent substantive regulations in addition to fines.
Therefore, traffic congestion in Guiyang should be controlled, which is also the most practical and effective way to alleviate traffic congestion at present.
