The difference between core papers and sci
The differences between core papers and sci are as follows:

1 has different meanings.

Sci journals belong to international authoritative core journals. EI and ISTP are the three world-famous scientific and technological literature retrieval systems, which are internationally recognized as the main retrieval tools for scientific statistics and scientific evaluation, among which SCI is the most important. It is conceivable how important it is to publish a SCI paper.

Domestic core journals are divided into NTU core journals, Peking University core journals and statistical source journals. Although NTU core journals are called domestic SCI, they are different from SCI journals to some extent. NTU core journals are a little weak, and it is not so simple to publish an NTU core paper, let alone an international SCI core paper.

2. Different roles

As we all know, publishing papers is a plus item in the evaluation of professional titles, and publishing sci papers is also different from domestic core papers. Those who publish SCI papers are either professors or associate professors, which plays a greater role in the evaluation of professional titles. In contrast, domestic core papers may be slightly weaker than SCI papers.

3. Different languages

Sci periodicals are English periodicals, and the core periodicals are Chinese periodicals. However, there are also cases where journals are both sci and domestic core journals. These journals usually have English versions and should be distinguished. And for the author, the difficulty of publishing is different. Because sci periodicals are English periodicals and need to be written in English, while domestic core periodicals usually don't need to be written in English, it is much more difficult to publish sci periodicals.
