[Abstract] Cold Night is a novel written by Ba Jin in 1947, which is another peak in the history of Ba Jin's novels. The novel shows the tragedy of that time through the social tragedy and family tragedy of the characters, and opposes the evil of darkness destroying the social system. In Cold Night, the most noteworthy are the three main characters created by Ba Jin; Wang Wenxuan Zeng Shusheng; Mother Wang. Their different personalities enrich the connotation of novel complex. It expresses the author's social ideal and life view, and describes the complex contradiction between life and human nature. The three main characters in Wang's works all have their own "firmness", but their lives and destinies are inevitably tinged with sadness.

Abstract: Bai's work Song of Eternal Sorrow is widely read in history books. About the theme of this poem, there are generally fables, romanticism and double themes. In this paper, several traditional theories are briefly summarized and analyzed, and some questions are put forward. Then, according to the author's point of view, the sentimental elements in these statements are absorbed, but they are redefined by the sentimental content: the hatred in Song of Eternal Sorrow is Yang's "Sai Ren was unlucky", but the sentimentality of Xuanzong is difficult to coexist with "land" and "beauty".
