Gongshu district jurisdiction
Gongshu District covers an area of 1 19 square kilometers. Gongshu District is an administrative district of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. Located in the north-central part of Hangzhou, it is adjacent to the urban area in the southeast and adjacent to Xihu District and Yuhang District in the northwest. The total area of this area is 1 19 square kilometers. The terrain is high in the northeast and low in the southwest, and rivers, ports and canals crisscross. It has a subtropical climate with four distinct seasons, abundant sunshine and rainfall. Gongshu District has a long history, belonging to Qiantang County from Qin Dynasty to Tang Dynasty, Renhe County from Song Dynasty to Qing Dynasty, Hangzhou County from 19 12, and Hangzhou City from 1927. The city was established to administer Hushu District, which was later renamed as the eighth district. After the liberation of Hangzhou, the eighth district was changed to Gongshu.
