The American College Student Mathematical Modeling Competition (MCM/ICM), sponsored by the American Federation of Mathematics and Its Applications, is the only international mathematical modeling competition and the most influential mathematical modeling competition in the world. The content of the competition involves many fields such as economy, management, environment, resources, ecology, medicine and safety.
The competition requires three students (undergraduates) as a group to complete all the work from modeling, solving, verifying and writing the paper within four days, which reflects the ability of the contestants to study problems and solutions and the spirit of teamwork. He is the originator of all kinds of mathematical modeling competitions today.
MCM started from 1985, and ICM started from 2000, initiated by COMAP (Mathematics and Its Application Federation) and sponsored by many institutions such as SIAM, NSA and INFORMS.
202 1, * * * awarded 36 outstanding winners; There are 13 championship prizes, only four of which were awarded to COMAP and SIAM. Two teams that signed up for the USA Tournament through Digital Model Park won the 20021Outstanding Winner Award and 47 teams won the 20021Finalist Award.
