When I directed students to design the course of Cold Stamping Technology and Die Design, I found some problems: First, the students' level is uneven, and their understanding of theoretical knowledge is quite different, especially their ability to solve practical problems comprehensively is generally poor; Second, the spirit of research is not enough, the initiative is poor, and some difficulties are encountered. They don't want to consult the materials themselves and rely too much on the guidance of teachers. Third, lack of confidence in yourself. In order to change this situation, I have made some active explorations in the topic selection, organization and implementation, performance evaluation and other aspects of curriculum design, and achieved good results.
First, the topic of curriculum design
The topic selection of curriculum design should have certain practical application value, and should directly come from actual production or have a clear application field. The design results will also be used as the training project of "Mold Manufacturing Technology" and "Mold Fitter Technology". I carefully selected beer bottle opener, square contact piece, mosquito-repellent incense rack, metal bottle cap and so on, which can be used as the design theme. Considering the uneven level of students, there is a big gap between students in the same class. In order to adapt the difficulty and workload of the design project to the students' level and ability, so that each student can successfully complete the design task and give full play to the potential of outstanding students, I have determined design projects with different complexity and workload for students of different levels to complete. For students with average or poor academic performance, the design subject to be completed is the design of "single-process mold", which is not difficult and the design workload is moderate; The two design topics, "Compound Die" and "Progressive Die", are both relatively difficult and have a relatively large design workload, and are aimed at outstanding students with good academic performance, strong ability and willingness to learn.

Arrange design tasks in advance and integrate curriculum design into theoretical teaching. In the past, curriculum design was carried out after all theoretical teaching courses were finished. When I was tutoring students in design, I found that many students could not apply the theoretical knowledge and basic methods used in design to practice, and some even forgot them. Counseling is very laborious, which affects the smooth progress of curriculum design. In order to change this situation, I adopted the practice of arranging design tasks in advance and integrating curriculum design into curriculum theory teaching. Before a module, the task book of course design and the teaching plan of the course are distributed to students, so that students can get in touch with design topics from the beginning of learning this course and gradually become familiar with design topics in the process of learning theoretical knowledge. Taking the design of stamping die for square contact as an example, the design task is divided into eight parts: product process analysis, determination of stamping process scheme, determination of overall scheme of die structure, stamping process calculation, overall design of die structure, structural design of die parts, selection of stamping equipment, drawing of assembly drawing and part drawing. These eight parts are integrated into the theoretical teaching of relevant chapters, and after learning the relevant chapters, the corresponding tasks are assigned to students as extracurricular exercises to complete after class. Because these homework assignments are closely related to curriculum design, most students attach great importance to them and are highly motivated. When it comes to curriculum design, most design tasks have gone through a drill, and most students are no longer unfamiliar with the methods and steps of design calculation. Only by modifying and connecting the materials we have made can we successfully complete the design and calculation instructions, and spend the main energy and time on structural design and drawing, so that most students can successfully complete the design tasks on time.
In order to ensure that every student can actively participate in the curriculum design and gain something, I have taken the following measures: First, it is carried out in groups, and each design team is generally two people. Each group has different topics or different original design materials, which can avoid plagiarism between groups. And break down the design tasks to the people in the group. Group members cooperate with each other and have their own tasks. Everyone must do it by themselves and urge each other to finish it on time. Second, in the design process, strengthen the process assessment, check the design progress and completion of each group every day, and incorporate the process assessment into the overall evaluation results of students' design. The third is to accurately grasp the design workload. When assigning design tasks to each student, we should teach students in accordance with their aptitude and treat them differently to ensure that the tasks are sufficient and that each student can finish them on time as long as he takes the time. Computer drawing is a basic skill of my major students. In order to further improve students' computer drawing ability, we require students to draw drawings by computer, and students can choose to use corresponding software according to their actual situation, such as AutoCAD drawing, UG or Pro/E modeling to generate engineering drawings and print them.
