1. You can click the menu in the upper left corner of wps document, select Insert > Reference > Footnote and Endnote, enter the information serial number, and set the corresponding parameters. Different versions of office software may have some operational differences, but they should be found in plug-ins.
One thing we should pay attention to is not to mix references with footnotes. Footnotes are usually marked numbers with circles, and the explanation content is at the bottom of the current page. References are usually marked with [1], and come from the end of the paper in detail.
2. How to use footnotes correctly? When writing our graduation thesis, we need to explain some technical terms besides quoting some external materials to prove our point of view. This is a footnote to the paper. Footnotes can not only explain some technical terms well, but also do not affect the layout of the paper, so readers can better understand the content of the paper. Footnotes are usually marked after the terms we need to explain, and detailed explanations will be placed at the bottom of the marking page for students to read.
3. So, how to mark footnotes correctly? In the word document, click the footnote group to select the footnote to be inserted, and mark the number to the right of the noun to be explained. If more than one place needs to be marked, please increase the value of the footnote.
If you don't want to mention references, you want to use footnotes instead. Footnotes should include the author's or editor's name, source, edition, number or quantity, publication information and citation page number. If multiple references come from the same source, there is no need to specify the author and source in subsequent comments.
