Several stages of sci paper review
The stages of sci paper review are as follows:

Edit comments. Periodical editors make a preliminary examination of the papers to determine whether the papers meet the requirements of the periodical's subject scope, format and academic level. If the paper does not meet the requirements, the editor will return it to the author, otherwise it will go to the next step.

Peer review. The journal editor will submit the paper to two or three anonymous peer experts for review. Experts evaluate the quality, innovation, practicability and argument support of the paper, and put forward suggestions and suggestions for revision. According to the evaluation results, the journal editor will decide whether to accept, reject or ask the author to make changes.

Statistical experts review manuscripts. The manuscript adopted at the review meeting shall be submitted to the statistical experts for re-examination.

Editor in chief. After reviewing the manuscript, the statistical experts will feed back their opinions to the journal editors, who will summarize the opinions from all sides, and finally the editor-in-chief will make the final review. The editor-in-chief makes final review and decision on the paper according to the opinions of the reviewers, the editors' evaluation and the overall strategy of the journal.

The author revised it. If the paper is accepted, the author needs to revise the paper according to the opinions and suggestions of the reviewers. The revised paper needs to be submitted to the journal editor for re-examination. If the paper is rejected, the author can choose to switch to other journals or continue to revise it before submitting it.

The final judgment was passed. After repeated communication and revision between the editor and the author, if the paper finally meets the requirements of the journal, it will be arranged for publication. Usually, there is a waiting time at this stage so that editors and authors can finish the final typesetting and proofreading.

It should be noted that there may be some subtle differences between different journals, but in general, the above stages are the main process of SCI paper review.
