Northwest China is the region with the least precipitation in China, and water has become the limiting factor of regional industrial and agricultural economic development. With the implementation of the western development strategy and economic development, the domestic water consumption in cities and rural areas is becoming more and more tense. In addition to studying how to make effective use of water resources in this region and improve the comprehensive utilization efficiency of water resources, areas with conditions should also actively study and carry out inter-basin water transfer. Inter-basin water transfer is not only an active and effective measure to alleviate the contradiction between supply and demand of regional water resources, but also greatly improves the ecology and environment in northwest China.
