Requirements of earth science specialty
Graduates should have the following knowledge and abilities:

1. Master the basic theories and knowledge of mathematics, physics and chemistry;

2. Master the basic theory, knowledge and experimental skills of geographical science;

3. Understand the general principles and methods of resources and environment, urban and rural planning and management, geographic information system and other similar majors;

4. Familiar with national science and technology policies, intellectual property rights and other relevant laws and regulations;

5. Understand the theoretical frontier, application prospect and latest development trends of geographical science;

6. Master the basic methods of information inquiry, document retrieval and obtaining relevant information by using modern information technology; Have the ability to design experiments, create experimental conditions, summarize, sort out and analyze experimental results, write papers and participate in academic exchanges.

Main courses: physical geography, modern geomorphology, environmental evolution, economic geography, human geography, econometric geography, surveying and mapping cartography, geographic information system, regional geography, etc.

Main practical teaching links: including indoor and field practice, production practice and graduation thesis, which are generally arranged in l0- 12 weeks.
