In short, Professor Liu Xiliang's main research projects in recent years include: new types and new joints of grid structure, calculation of various reticulated shell structures, assembled new grid structure, aluminum alloy spherical reticulated shell, and super-long-span (d & gtL00m) single-layer reticulated shell, such as integral cable dome, retractable structure, foldable spatial structure, etc., and have achieved gratifying results. Its award-winning projects include: 1982 "Research on calculation and jacking technology of four-support grid structure" and won the third prize of outstanding scientific research achievements of the Ministry of Construction. 1987 Code for Design of Steel Structures won the second prize of the State Planning Commission. Since 1980s, he has gone abroad for academic exchange four times. 1September 1982 to1September 1983, 10 paid a one-year academic visit to the steel structure research institute of Brunswick University of Technology in West Germany. Professor Liu Xiliang's fruitful achievements have attracted the attention of Chinese and foreign counterparts. He not only made great contributions to scientific research and related projects, but also stayed in the front line of university teaching. He has taught undergraduate students such courses as steel structure, engineering structure, structural experiment and spatial grid structure. Postgraduate lectures on nonlinear analysis of advanced steel structures and spatial structures. He has taught undergraduate graduation design courses such as steel structure industrial workshop, radio mast tower, transmission line tower, TV tower and space grid structure.
