Zuting Wojing emphasizes that this sutra has the thought of dutiful son's gratitude, and has the nature of reconciling the relationship between China's ethics and Buddhism.

That is, seeing the world with the Tao, seeing that the dead mother gave birth to a hungry ghost, not eating and drinking, and standing together. Sad eyes, that is, the rice is served in a bowl and reimbursed to the mother, and the mother gets a bowl of rice, that is, the left hand blocks the bowl and the right hand competes for food, and the food is not enough, and it is turned into charcoal and is not allowed to eat. Eyes gave a cry, let out a cry, and returned to the white Buddha, so real.

Buddha said, "Your mother's sin is deep-rooted and beyond your power. Although you are filial, there is nothing you can do to move heaven and earth, move heaven and earth, move evil spirits and move Taoist priests. When ten monks are needed to be strong, they will be relieved. What I'm going to talk about today is the way to get rid of all the difficulties and get rid of sadness and pain. 」

The Buddha told Mulian: "On July 15th, when monks indulge themselves, they should provide food, assorted fruits, a basin of irrigators, sesame oil ingots and candles, and bedding on the bed, and put them in the basin to support the ten monks. On this day, all saints, whether they meditate on the mountain, get four fruits, walk under a tree, be enlightened by six ways, or be bodhisattvas in ten places, now have the right to become monks. In the folk, they are all of one mind, taking a bowl and a meal, having a clean ring, being a saint and virtue being Wang Yang. There are monks who support this self-indulgence, parents in this world, and a family of six relatives. It is concluded that the suffering of the three soils should be lifted in time and the food and clothing should be natural; If parents are present, they will be happy for a hundred years; If VII's parents were born in heaven, they will be free to transform themselves into life and enter heaven. 」

At that time, the Buddha told all the monks in the ten places to pray for the benefactor's family first, and to pray for the VII parents to meditate before eating. When I first ate it, I put it in front of the Buddha, in front of the Buddha in the pagoda temple. All the monks swore to make a wish, so I ate it myself.

At that time, all the monks and the Great Bodhisattva were happy, and the crying of all the monks was alleviated.

Eyes attached to the mother, that is, during the day, you have to get rid of the suffering of the hungry ghost.

Mu Lian replied to the Buddha's words: "The mother born to a disciple has won three treasures of merit, and the monks are so powerful. If in the afterlife, all the disciples of the Buddha will also offer a pot to save their parents now, or even save their parents for the seventh time, is that right? "

Buddha said: "Great goodness, ask quickly! I was just about to say that you asked again today. Good job! If a bhikkhu, a prince, a minister, a prime minister, three officials and hundreds of officials, and Shu Ren, all people who are filial should be born to their parents now and their parents in the past seven generations. On July 15, when the Buddha is happy, the monks will eat their various flavors of food, and they will prescribe ten prescriptions for their monks in the basin. I hope my parents will not get sick and worry for a hundred years. Those who practice filial piety by Buddhist disciples should always remember their parents, even the seventh parents. On July 15th every year, I often remember my parents with filial piety and repay their kindness as a basin, Buddha and monk. All Buddhists should adhere to Buddhism. 」
